Jim Stacy Painting

I would not recommend Jim for any job. Initially stained my deck and painted the exterior trim in Oct 2014 after checking several references (was not a member of Angie's list at that time). Within 1 year the deck and and exterior needed re-staining and re-painting. Paid Jim money upfront to touch up both these areas in Oct 2015. Never heard back from him..called him several times and he finally left a VM siting the death of his mother in Ohio. In April of 2016 Jim finally came out to stain the deck while we were on vacation and he made a decision to use a color and different brand that we had not approved which had a gold appearance. He stopped after doing 1/3 of of deck and said we should inspect the color before he continued. The color was atrocious and he recommended a solid stain but we wanted a more translucent look siting that he needed to do whatever was required to achieve that. We have not heard back from Jim and we highly suggest you seek other painting professionals.

Jim was extremely professional. He was on time and on budget. He came prepared and got everything done in the amount of time he estimated. He did an excellent job. So much so, we later re-hired him to paint the outside of our house. Honestly, our house has never looked better. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, reliable and friendly house painter.
