CW Roofing

Contracted C.W. Roofing to replace entire roof with new shingles and replace rotted wood. The shingle replacement is still not completed.  On July 22, 2013 I contracted C.W. Roofing Co of Goldsboro, NC to replace all of our shingles and replace some wood rote around some boots on our roof. We gave a down deposit of half the total price. Chris Walker, the owner, said it was for materials. He was supposed to bring samples over the same week. He didn't bring them by until the following week after calling repeatedly. The samples he brought us were hard to tell what they looked like and we wanted to look at the full size samples. Chris finally told me to go to the vendor and look at the samples. Once we picked out the shingles, he had to order the shingles. He did not start the job until August 5, 2013. The company was supposed to finish the following day. I came home on the 6th of Aug and Chris said he would be finished in about 30 min to an hour. I ended up paying him and returning to work. My wife was at home while the roofing company finished up. Once they left my wife did a walk around the house cleaning up trash that was left behind in our bushes and she ended up calling Chris because his workers' vehicles left oil stains on our driveway and the air compressor let a stain on our patio. This is when he told my wife that the roof was not finished and they had to order more shingles because he miscalculated and that it would take a couple of days for the shingles to come in. Basically he did not finish
putting shingles on about 20 feet of our ridge cap. Chris said he would be back the following week to put the shingles on and clean up the oil stains. I called him later that day to find out what was going on and have him clean the stains up the next day. Chris and a coworker showed up the next day to clean the stains. They removed the oil stains and compressor stains and said they would be back the following week to finish the shingles on the ridge cap and power wash the stains. That was August 8, 2013. It is now August 29, 2013 and the shingles on the ridge cap are still not on. I contacted him by phone towards the end of
the following week because I had not heard anything. I left him multiple voice messages. I didn't hear anything from him that week. I started trying to call him the week of the 19th but his voice mail was full and I could not leave him any more messages. He finally got back to me via text on the 21st of August. He stated he was in Charlotte and that his cousin(coworker) had the shingles and he would put them on that week. It never happened. I contacted him via text and phone call on the 26th of August letting him know the roof was still not complete. Chris text me back on the 27th of Aug and said his cousin would be
there on the 28th or the 29th of August to finish it. Like I said earlier it is August 29, 2013 and the roof is still not complete. I
called him on the phone and left a message around 430 pm. I have not heard back from him.
