KENT SHAW

I worked with Shaw Custom Builders and Wesley Shaw. I had worked with Wesley before and was extremely happy. I called Wesley out to house and asked about replacing my iron railings with cable railings to open up view to lake. I showed him pictures and discussed details. He said he would get quotes. This is where i made my first mistake. When i received quote i only looked at the price. Told Wesley it sounded good, lets schedule. I guess I trusted that the quote was for what I requested. I was out of town when the railings were installed. They took down and installed exactly what I had already. I called Wesley to discuss and he denied me ever telling him what I wanted. Ridiculous. I told him I was willing to admit I didn't read contract but I trusted him. That was my second mistake. He became rude and unwilling to admit he dropped the ball on what I requested. He then said he could use railings elsewhere and gave me the most ridiculous price for the cable railings. Essentially charging me for both. I told him if he can use the railings, take them. I will hire someone else for cable. Someone I trust. He then declined to take railings and said "nope, we will just stick with what contract said". I have never had a problem with any contractor I have worked with. It has been an upsetting experience. I have new railings just like my old ones. WHY?? I would never hire anyone associated with this company again. I can't believe a professional would be willing to ruin his company's reputation for such a small amount of money.
