SIGNATURE HOMES OF THE TRIAD

Contractor provided materials of poor quality. Workers were unskilled - he seemed to be using his unemployed relatives.  Someone who identified herself as his niece came to remove wallpaper from my kitchen.  The walls were left in such poor condition that I had to have tile installed.  Contractor left work undone, did not clean up, and it was evident that he did not intend to finish the work.  Filed a claim in small claims court - was awarded $3,000.00 which of course he never paid because at that point he was "conveniently bankrupct."  Now I'm sure that he is has re-incorporated himself under a new name and is continuing to be successful at his clients' expense.  If I had the funds, I would purchase a billboard ad to tell as  many people as possible about how dishonest he is.

I wanted to upgrade the countertops. He wasn't willing to do that. I finally decided that I would have someone else do the countertops so he just left some items on the punchlist undone. He had included in the price a light fixture that he did not put in. I had wallpaper in the kitchen originally and he included in the price that he would take that down and repaint it. The job he did on that was very unsatisfactory. He then said he would install a tile backsplash. He never did that because he didn't do the countertops.
