Kim Deaton

I met Mr. Kim Deaton in a parking lot and asked him to give me an estimate on grinding a number of stumps left over from tree removal on a rental property I own. He came promptly to gave me a price, and we agreed on it then. The work went exceptionally smoothly as within a day or two (weather permitting: he came and worked without supervision or further conversation) he expertly ground all the stumps we discussed (even did two additional stumps on my adjacent driveway without charging more.) I'd gained several other bids from local Contractors, and have dealt extensively with thousands of diversified Contractors in my over 35 years as a General Contractor, and loved the responsiveness and reliability Mr. Deaton displayed! I am totally burned out on folks who claim to be the best thing since sliced bread, but fail to follow up, show up, or perform exactly what they claimed they would. Here I NEVER had to call Mr. Deaton after our initial contact to see when he'd show up, as he always called or texted me these times (as weather permitted: done the week of 1/20/2016 just before weekend snow storm.) I've found many folks quick to complain, and am remiss to do so, but feel we need to stand up for those who actually Do Their Job well! This man was prompt, very reasonable, efficient, and communicated expertly with me to do exactly what he said, and then even more. The property was left in excellent condition (I'm responsible for landscaping per our agreement) and I can not think of anything Mr. Deaton could have done better.
