Had to call twice after making arrangement for the job to be done. Three young men came out to do the work. I called to tell the office that there were problems, l l/2" water standing in the gutter, and it is leaking in 3 places and asked the owner to come out to take care of the problems. The owner didn't come, think he was not feeling well, but one of the installers did come out and while still sitting in his truck he stated "I'm second in command here" "I can't do anything about water dripping off the gutter, and I won't call and bother my Dad with something like this. I asked "Are you not even going to get out and look at the gutter". He spat on the driveway and accused me of trying to keep from paying. I requested that he not spit on my driveway. He advised me that "You are just too negative, and I'll just call the sheriff." I asked my wife to come out and hear what I was hearing. She told him that "Some day you'll be older and" at that point he interrupted and told her "I don't need any of your lip". She didn't finish telling him that his check was ready and all he had to do was correct the problem, and that we learned long ago not to pay until corrections are done. She instead ordered him off our property and not to come back. He again threatened to "Call the sheriff". We asked him to "Please, do that, we want you to call". We have called another company to correct the problem and will pay them the difference.
We mailed the check along with a letter advising them not to come back. Our attorney advised us to deduct the amount we are paying another company to repair the problem, but we chose instead to stop all communication with this company and mailed the check as it was made out for the original price..
