They were terrible. Run from them is all I could say. This is somebody we knew which made it worse. They gave us a guaranteed quote and they changed it and raised the price once they started. They did not tell us that the price had changed until after they started the work. Once you have the place dug up you can’t do anything. We started cutting back on work to reduce the price. She had subcontracted the work and the quality of stone work was good. The guy who did the work was good and we found out later that he was a subcontractor. We hired her mainly to deal with erosion problems and that is the last thing she attempted to do. She did not really deal with it. I will never use her again in the future. I am mainly upset because she changed the price without even informing her. I do not want this to affect the subcontractor who did the stone work because he did a very good job. When we asked her what she had planted she told me that usually people let her plant what she wants. We had mentioned some colors but she never consulted us for anything about the plants except for in a very generalized fashion. The erosion was never really dealt with. She gave us a guaranteed estimate for sixty days and then it changes. That is not appropriate at all.
