Steve was careful, thorough and knowledgeable in dealing with our Murano glass chandelier. He really knows what he's doing and he's thoughtful and careful. This was not an ordinary chandelier and needed a careful touch. He did a great job and we are happy with the results.

Mr. Gilliland called me within 30 minutes of when he was contacted and told me that he was finishing up a job close by and could come within the hour. After checking and tightening connections, he declined payment, saying that he didn't want to charge me for this work and to just keep him in mind if I needed any future work done.
I called him several days ago when I was having walls patched close to the panel and he told me that there should be no problem, but to let him know if there was and he would arrange to come as soon as possible. I really appreciate his consideration, and of course, I will want to have him do any future electrical work that I may need done.

Mr. Gilliland responded and came out to give me an estimate within a reasonable time of my call. He was to come back the next day (Friday) when the plumber was here; I was to give him a call when plumber was here. There was a change of plan with the plumber so I called Mr Gilliland and left a message for him to call me back. He did not. In the meantime the plumber finished and left. I again called Mr Gilliland and he said he now was too busy to come out that day. I was concerned as my washer/dryer unit was being delivered Monday morning- so he said he would come out on Saturday, which he did at 8am. He completed the job. Fine.
Sunday though I found the electric outlets in both bathrooms were not working. To make an even longer story short, I waited til Monday morning to call Mr Gilliland and left a message for him to call me. He did not. I called him again Tuesday morning and left another message. Again he did not call. So still not hearing from him by Thursday I sent him an email saying my review was not going to be favorable- and I left the house to run errands. When I came home there was a message from Mr Gilliland saying he was sorry for not returning my calls but he was so very busy. [Hhmmmm- too busy to make a 2 minute phone call?] He said it was not possible for him to come out until maybe Monday afternoon (May 6), which would be a full week without having electricity in both bathrooms. Not wanting to bother with another phone call to him, I emailed him to forget it- that I would find someone else.
It is really sad for me to give anyone a negative review for any reason, especially when it affects their livelihood but this could easily have been avoided. I don't think contractors realize how frustrating and aggravating it is for us (clients) when we need something done and the contractor chooses not to respond. Enough said....

Mr. Gilliland arrived within 2 hours after being called. He brought a new GFI with him. He had diagnosed a faulty GFI over the phone. He replaced the GFI in 5 minutes.
