I finally took her to small claims court and won a judgment of $10,000.00. This past week, I have worked my way through to the execution of the writ to have the police go and serve it (get possessions to sell in order to get the judgment. She has done the same thing to a lot of people across the state, but I am the only one who has taken her to court. My roof is still leaking; I cannot afford to get it fixed correctly until I get the money to do so. I am a retired, disabled person and don't have a lot of money. In order to pay her in the beginning I had to use the last of my deceased husband's small life insurance and for the rest, I had to take out a loan on my 2002 car, which had been paid for. I still owe $2,000.00 on it. This woman should not be allowed to do business in the state, but the Attorney General's office told me they could not do any kind of prosecution unless I could get other people to send documentation to them. The stress has taken a toll on my blood sugar (I am diabetic) and my blood pressure. Even at the end of the court session, she blurted to the judge that she would come fix the roof. The judge looked at her a long moment and said, "Ma'am, I don't believe this woman wants you near her house again." She did not appeal, she not respond to the papers allowing her exemptions. She has not responded to the execution, if it has been yet served.
Description of Work: Put a metal roof on my house and did it contrary to the roofing instructions of the company that produces the metal. It took over 2 years trying to get Garrell to fix the leaks that were/are ruining the sub-structure of my roof. Finally she sent two men to work on the roof who made it even worse, ruining the roofing in some areas.
