Initially I was not happy with the way it was running.  They bent over backwards.  They came back multiple times until we were satisfied. They replaced some duct work free of charge.  They couldn't have been nicer. I like everything about them.  They are not happy until you are happy.  They made sure we were satisfied.  They wanted to operate as sufficiently as we did.  If I had used another company, I think it would have fallen on deaf ears.

Charged us over $5000 labor and materials to put in a 2 star out of 5 star split heat pump. Never realized it was only a 2 star equipment. They never replaced the ducting and as a result we had to pay for 2 temporary a/c units for the bedrooms all summer long. They also charged us for a new Honeywell Pro thermostat which we didn't need because we have the nest thermostat. They were impossible for my manager to get a response from them. I would never let them step foot in my home again.

The service has been bad and expensive. We were charged $1400 in labor installing warranty parts (Warranty covers parts, but not labor). In once instance, it took a week to get a repair part in during summer rental season.

Replaced whole HVAC system including coil, compressor, tubing. Company tech represented my interests with the HVAC manufacturer very well. His careful documentation and instrumentation work were the difference in receiving a warranty claim. |Since then, company has done my maintenance work, all satisfactorily. Sometimes it takes several calls to get someone to do small jobs, but the office people are very proficient and will follow up.

Arrived first day, made repairs and left. Said unit required 1 lb of freon.
Next day, unit wasn't cooling again. Called, and they returned. Found that ALL the freon was now gone, and unfortunately, since it was a Sunday, they couldn't check for leaks. Since we had guests in town, we had to get the unit cooling, so they charged it again, only to have most leak back out.
Returned on Monday, found leak and charged the system.
Al Fulford then proceeded to charge me for all the freon lost...to the tune of $400.
Started out 1 lb low, ended up buying 8lbs of freon in additional to the labor charges. My system only holds 6lbs total.
Terrible experience. And when called to inquire, I was rudely told that and quot;these things happenand quot;.
Don't use Al Fulford.

They are good. My only complaint is that most heating and air conditioning companies give you time frames like 8 to 12 or 1 to 5 that they will be here. So you have to wait around. But that is pretty much the standard with any of them. They do good work and their price is good. Last time they came out they inspected the furnace, checked on all the duct works and actually they went on the roof and cleaned up the dryer vent which was very nice. They also checked that everything is functioning. Again they will do this in the summer for the air conditioning unit.

He done a good job survying the unit and identifying the problems. Did lots of extra work and didn't charge me for them. Central air unit works alot more efficient than what it did. Would use him again in the future.

Al Fulford Heating and Air came in October to install and December to check the unit to be sure it was working properly for the winter months. Their reputation and pricing is well know for years and years and years. I would use them again.

This is the email I sent to the home warranty company: This week I filed a claim regarding my HVAC system. My concern was prompted by very high electrical utilization despite the fact that the house was occupied only a few days per month in February and March. I was concerned that the compressers were not working efficiently since this is a typical cause of high electrical utilization during heating season and my GC working at the house had told me that they appeared to be in bad shape. So this is what I stated as the reason for the claim. The first phone call I received, the young lady on the phone was only concerned that she collect $75 which is their customary service charge. I explained that my cost was $45 and I had to repeat several times that she needed to speak to you about payment of the difference. I did not know how the matter was to be resolved but I expected a call back from the contractor prior to the service trip since this is what happened with previous contractors. I was planning to give additional details to the service technician. Instead I got another phone call today from the same young lady stating that the service technician had completed the trip and she wanted a debit card to pay the service trip charge. I asked for more details about the results of the inspection and finally had to insist that she let me talk to the technician. During this conversation she stated "we may not be the right HVAC company for you" several times. Because he was unaware of the specific issue of high electrical utilization the technician just did an 'ordinary' inspection of the HVAC system. My concern was that in heating mode the system was running the auxiliary heat strips not the compressors, which can happen if the compressors are bad but ALSO if the thermostats are not wired properly and default to the auxiliary strips (I have had this happen at another property). Due to the temperature of 80 degrees today, the technician could not check the heating side of the system at all. He found that the upper system was turned off at the breaker which happened over the weekend due to the action of guests, and was not relevant to the high electrical utilization, but he believed that this was the problem and I could not advise him in advance that it was not. He then tried to tell me that Feb and March had been very cold months "in the 20s" and by no means was the weather ever consistently that cold during those months to which he finally agreed, plus the house thermostats are both set at 55 when the house is empty. The technician could not tell me the SEER of the units or the tonnage or whether the air handlers were variable speed, all of which information I desired to know. I am going to pay Al Fulford his $45 because I pay my bills, but I strongly encourage you to never use them again. I am not an idiot (although off breaker may make it appear that I am). I did not appreciate the treatment I received from the very first phone call. I did ask yesterday when I called you about the service charge issue whether a closer company could be identified and I was advised that you make an effort to obtain speedy service (which I certainly appreciate) and evidently Mr. Fulford was the first available.
