When we arrived to walk through with the inspector, Mike, he was completing the report on his computer. We were very surprised that there was very little that he found wrong with the home. There were only two minor items that he had found including a loose hand rail in the unfinished basement. We and our Realtor started asking about things that we had noticed and he began including them on his report. Usually he would respond by saying he had noticed that, however for some reason he had not included them on his report. After he left we found other items that needed repair and the home owner was willing to take care of those as well. We are sure that there are items that could have been found by a more thorough and professional inspection. Within a week of our closing we realized that we had not received the report on the water inspection. After emails by myself and our Realtor he finally responded that it was attached to the last page of the report he produced. It was on the current copy, but I looked back and it was not on the original copy that I received. When I looked at the water report all it showed were levels of various chemicals that were found in the water with no indication of whether that was acceptable. I asked Mike for some context to the report so I could understand it and he responded: "Statesville analytical can probably shed some light on those numbers give them a call. They are normally very helpful thanks Mike". I can't tell you how frustrated and disappointed we are with the service and professionalism. We really feel like we wasted our money on this inspection and are at risk of further expenses to repair things that should have been identified.
