I’ve used Amen movers multiple times and I keep using them because Lloyd deals with his crew and his customers in a realistic way. My advise to people is to make effort to manage your own move. Don’t just sit back and let the guys do it their way. Once your crew arrives, tell them how you want them to handle your stuff. Fast and sloppy to save you money, or slow and careful to preserve your stuff. Lloyd trains his crew to follow the customers wishes. So if you tell them to take their time, pad everything, make sure nothing gets dinged, and *you* keep them accountable, that’s what they will do. And Lloyd will back you up. I love this! This is why I keep using Amen movers, and recommending them to my friends.

A bad experience overall. I was clear about my needs for packing storage and transport. I gave an itemized list. I didn't know who was in charge on site, but they took turns telling me things. One told me he didn't use lists. They didn't bring packing material nor boxes, nor the truck at first. They brought things outside without boxing them. They shoved paintings in a box without packing each one securely. One guy did virtually nothing except break a lamp -- they billed me for his time and didn't pay for the lamp. Lloyd told me they had straps for my container but one guy said it's all his personally purchased and couldn't leave it so they used one of my boat lines. They were to bring a few items to Habitat, but said Lloyd wanted to look through them first since I was donating them. Finally, as I wrote out the check, they said not to make it out to the company, but to Lloyd personally... Very bad flavor. I pray my contents live through this move.

The team at Amen Movers were great and very accommodating. I originally scheduled my move for September 1st, but due to construction delays I had to reschedule not once but twice, and the last time was at very short notice (a few days before the scheduled move). I ended up moving on September 11th, and then the morning of the move as the guys were driving over I found out that there had been an inspection delay and had to change the destination from the original address I had given Lloyd to a storage unit on the other side of town. Lloyd handled the chaos professionally and did everything he could to accommodate the changes. The move itself went smoothly and efficiently. I had three movers, who wrapped the items that needed to be wrapped and moved everything on and off the truck quickly. They also handled my request that certain furniture items be kept together in storage, since some pieces were being taken by family members instead of eventually moving to my new place. I would recommend Amen Movers to anyone and will hire them again in the future.

Amen Movers was flexible, punctual, hard working, and very competitively priced. I would use them again (4th time).

This company is absolutely amazing. The 3 guys that came to our home were so polite and very professional. We could not have asked for a better moving experience. These gentlemen worked many hours in the very hot 100 degree heat and worked so hard to get the job done. We were so very blessed to have found them and we highly recommend this company for your moving needs.

Outstanding work, AMEN MOVERS!  Mr. Benson, the boss, was true to his word on prearrangement of time and date of the move.  The movers showed up exactly on time, using a foreman with two other movers.  These men were so efficient, they had their process down so that they could do the job with high efficiency.  They were safe, prepared, steady workers.

 Their experience showed in the quality of their work.  The foreman was highly valuable in ensuring that all aspects of the job were done right, constantly shifting between the worksite and the truck and being an integral part of moving my items.   They were nonstop in their duty and their efficiency.  When the truck was loaded, they arrived promptly at my new home.

 They were very dedicated to placing items where I wanted them.  They were cautious in handling all items and ensuring that they protected my walls and floors.  I am so pleased with the quality and efficiency of their work.  I highly recommend AMEN MOVERS when you want a quality job done for your move.   Definitely use a minimum of 3 men to do the job right.  Thank you, AMEN MOVERS,  for giving me a successful and speedy move to my new home!

they were punctual.  COURTEOUS, took great care with my furniture.  I needed a king size bed dismantled and the mattress and box springs taken to curbside for city to pick up.  switched bedroom furniture in two different  rooms.  moved a treadmill to a different area in my house.  Josh and Zach were very nice young men who I would hire again and recommend to anyone else.  This may have been mentioned before.....they weren't in uniforms or with name tags....but that did not matter to me.  Great job!

Wow! Amen movers did a great job. Zac and crew came into our home like heroes and moved our furniture with what looked like such ease. They wrapped all of our furniture and were very polite. The price was great and so was customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone. Very hard workers and fast!

This was a long time ago but when I saw this company while  was searching for movers, I felt compelled to write a review.  The owner and 2 of his employees packed boxes for me to load onto my U-Haul truck.  Unfortunately, I cannot remember the exact details other than he overcharged me and agreed to reimburse me.  It could have been $50 or perhaps $100.  We emailed back and forth and he kept putting me off and finally ignored me.  He never reimbursed me.  Especially annoying is that his company is called, "AMEM," as insinuating that he has some kind of values that might include trust and honesty.  Apparently the name is a misnomer.

They are efficient, courteous, and very reasonably priced. Our move was very organized (each room in the new home had a coordinating duct tape color, therefore each box was color coded) which allowed them to finish the move in less than the time that was quoted. Therefore, the actual cost was less than the quote! They come with rented trucks that do not have the company name on them, in addition they do not have uniforms/company T-Shirts (if that bothers you). However, that did not bother us; this company is one that I would use again without hesitation. Thank you

This is the third time we have used Amen Movers and they always do a great job.  They made moving day go so much quicker and with much less stress than if we just did the 2 friends and a pickup route.  We will be calling them again.

I called Amen Movers to request 2 services:  Packing wall hangings and a few fragile items and loading all my household belongings into a rented trailer for a cross country move.  Mr. Benson and his packing crew arrived as promised.  However, they did not bring packaging material appropriate for the large wall hangings I had described. Mr. Benson said that they had a variety of box sizes and that I could have them free of charge.   However, when he arrived, they had purchased small and medium rectangle standard moving boxes from Lowes, and presented me with a bill. (This was subsequently withdrawn upon request). They were not a size that would be useful for large 3' and 4' dimensions of the many pictures and other artwork.  I had put aside some large, flat boxes in the garage, and brought those that I had in for them to use.  However, despite the assurances that the packers were professionals and that they would pack the items for a long road trip...many of the items arrived abraded and scuffed because proper packing material was not used between the items as they shifted back and forth in the truck.
Improper positioning of items as they were loaded into the trailer and faulty wrapping of furniture also caused a great amount of damage to furniture as metal items rubbed against wooden ones for all of the 2800 miles over the vibrations of the road.  Mr. Benson was not present on site for most of the day.  The crew he left behind were obviously strong and fast, but untrained on how to protect furniture. (They had to leave the job for over an hour to buy tape and stretch wrap they had forgotten). Shelves rubbed against a chair and rounded its square leg.  It also shaved the leg of a wooden futon.  Garden tool handles were allowed to rub against a wooden bed headboard leaving deep gouges and worn patches of finish.  Bolts from another headboard were placed against a wooden hutch, and though padded with a moving blanket, the bolts cut through the padding and gouged deep round holes into the hutch door and drawer.   Moving blankets did not cover wooden furniture completely; exposed areas were abraded, worn down and shaved. A table top was placed finished side up against the sidewall of the trailer, wearing off much of the finish coat.   Boxes of fragile items were placed underneath heavier items stacked on top, which of course crushed the boxes. (I have photos available of all this damage).
I chose them because they were highly rated here on Angie's List.  While they may have provided satisfactory service previously for local moves, they clearly did not know how to ensure that items were properly packed for my cross country move. This was a very disappointing experience.
