Service Master is a full service restoration company that handles all types of disasters from start to finish. in an emergency, If you call us, at any time of day or night, you are transferred live to the person on call, and we will be on site within 2-4 hours, prepared to get things stabilized and moving forward. We are a fully certified restoration firm. We are also a licensed general contractor, with an “unlimited” license. The quality and service provided on a job is paramount, and we pride ourselves on doing the job right. Our company is in the top 200 of over 4000 ServiceMaster Franchises. Steve has been in the restoration industry since 2002. During this time he has achieved five different certifications: Advanced Structural Drying, Water Restoration Technician, Odor Control Technician, Fire Smoke Restoration Technician, and has received the training of a Certified Microbial Remediation. Steve and his wife Carol have run the business since 2002, Carol handles the accounting and Human Resources while Steve mainly deals with the day to day operations. They have two wonderfully talented children. Their daughter has just graduated college and their son is currently enrolled in college at High Point University.

We didn’t have any issues with the “drying out” process. We had several issues during the repair portion of the job. The drywall repair and painting in the kitchen was not done well the first time - it was very clear that it was patched. Second attempt at the repair wasn’t any better. I requested that a supervisor come out and take a look at it. Finally on the third attempt, the patch lines were no longer visible. Since the person who does the drywall is not the same as the person who does the painting, all of this resulted in many visits to my house. The bathroom experience wasn’t any better. The guy who did the tile work was very unreliable. He was consistently late and always had to leave to get more supplies. One day he didn’t show up at all. His trips to the hardware store were about 2 hours long, sometimes longer. In addition, the seam between the floor and tub was not done right and quarter round molding was put along the edge to hide the uneven tile . There was not a quarter round there before and the two other bathrooms in my house don’t have a quarter round molding where the tub meets the tile, so this was done as a shortcut. I asked to have this fixed, and that work was done. Due to the late and missed appointments, the floor work took 6 weeks to complete. I requested that I be compensated by adjusting the amount I owed for the final payment. While they did remove the costs for work that was part of the contract and not performed, they refused to take any financial responsibility for their mistakes. All that being said, the subcontractor that was used for the vanity/ cabinets was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, professional and did the job right the first time. I love how the cabinets turned out.

I was distraught when water was spilling into my kitchen.  In the end, my bedroom closet, part of my bedroom, part of my living room and the kitchen all had water damage.  My insurance company has a Contractor Connections program, and they sent Service Master to my house.  The technician (either Ben or Chris, I can't remember) came in and tore out part of my ceiling, insulation, etc, and set up loads of fans to dry and save what could be saved.  He came every day for 3 days until things were dry and ready for the next phase.
I was thoroughly impressed with the technician in the mitigation phase.  He was professional, pleasant and explained what he was doing and why.  I could not ask for better service.  Please see my upcoming review for ServiceMasters actual rebuilding/renovation.  This has been a very different experience.

The whole team from Servicemaster was very courteous and professional to deal with. I had the most involvement with my project manager, Carly, who if you're lucky to have, makes a stressful process much easier to deal with.  I was lucky enough to have individual contractors as well that were all prompt and professional. I would espescially like to call out Sean and his painting partner, for their excellent customer service.  I would definitely work with him again.  I am very satisfied with the job done, as I was hesitant to go with my Insurance provider's recommendation.  But in the end, it was the very best choice I could have made.
