TOTAL SYSTEMS HEATING & COOLING INC

Our experience with Total Systems on two different occasions for the same property between 2012 and 2016 has been excellent on each occasion.  Each time we called to request service the call was handled professionally and service was provided timely. Additionally, the price for the services received has been very reasonable each time.  In this particular instance, our heat pump system was not heating the home.  Total Systems was contacted that morning and scheduled a technician to come out the same day.  The technician quickly identified the problem, had the required part on the truck (blower run capacitor), and accomplished the repair in short order.

They didn?t offer me an extended maintenance plan because I would have bought it. After many repairs on the systems, two technicians from two other companies informed me that the duct work was smaller than required which didn't allow the package unit to work efficiently. I have a lot of maintenance issues now

Any time I called, the office personnel was so kind.  When a repairman came to the house, he was really nice and after finding out the problem, he went to buy the part that very afternoon and came back in less than an hour to finish the job.  And, Total Systems has taken care of our needs quickly to repair any other problems that cropped up and now the air conditioner/heater is running smoothly, efficiently, and reliably.  We haven't had any need for a repair since the first few repairs after moving here.  When we replace this unit with a new unit, it will be a more expensive unit and Total Systems will be the company we consult.  Not only are they kind people but they are good at what they do.

I have used them a couple times, in which they resolved each issue in a timely manner & at a decent price. Great customer service. Always professional & readily available.

Service Tech knowledgeable, professional and courteous however my beef is with the lady who runs the office. I called and made an appointment for an initial and visit everything went fine. I had to call again and make another appointment the next day as the Freon leaked out overnight from another leak. For the second appointment they never showed up so I called the office only to be told that they didn't have me on the schedule for a return service call. The lady said she was sorry but they were training someone new in the office and she didn't put me on the schedule. Well that didn't set with me very well. I'm a stickler for timeliness' after being in the military for so long. After me complaining that I didn't appreciate not being put on the schedule she became defensive and told me quote:
 " I could take my business elsewhere". Finally after going back and forth with her she asked if I still wanted a return appointment real snotty and I told her yes I still wanted the work done and hung up the phone. A couple of hours later the Service Tec showed up and repaired my AC system a second time. The other beef I have is the price they charge for R-22 Freon .........50.00 a pound!  Luckily I had my own Freon. Because of the way I was talked to over the phone I won't be calling or recommend them for any future business. 

Very good.  I had Total Systems come out and check my home air conditioner for proper operation because it wasn't cooling very well.  I called on a Thursday and they said someone could be out there on the next Monday which is when I asked for. When I scheduled the appointment, the lady said she didn't know exactly what time the tech could be there; but to call on Monday morning to check on what time. I forgot to call on Monday morning but at about 830 am I received a call from their tech who asked if it was okay to come in about an hour. He showed up exactly on time. I do have quite a bit of experience in working with air conditioners (but I do not have the required license to purchase or use the refrigerant)  and was waiting to see what the tech had to say was wrong with my unit. I told him it wasn't cooling and I could see ice forming on the inside of the outdoor unit. He immediately checked the pressure (a correct first step) and verified that the refrigerant was low. He then asked if I wanted him to leak check the whole unit and told me that it was probably a very small leak since there was still pressure in it. He didn't push anything on my at all. We didn't do the whole leak check. He then said the unit may still be under warranty and wrote down all the info from the data plate to verify when he got back to the office. He used a scale to measure the pounds of refrigerant he put in since it is sold by the pound. The unit works much better than before. I asked him to quote me for a whole unit replacement (since it is ten years old) expecting him to have to come back due to time. He took the time to measure the unit, verify the sizing, and check the entire house to get all the info needed to properly quote a new unit. He said the office would be contacting me in a couple of days with the quote. I received an email with the quote in just a few days.
This is the second time I have used this company, they did an inspection of the gas fireplaces when I purchased the house the year before; and they showed up on time and did exactly what was requested then. I would call them again if I need them.

When I called the office to see if they worked on Trane units the receptionist, Brenda was very knowledgeable, friendly & professional. She also displayed a good working knowledge of air conditioning systems, something you don't expect from someone answering the phone. Brenda scheduled a repair technician for later in the afternoon and said that he would call approximately 30 minutes prior to his arrival.
True to Brenda's word, Jerry called at approximately 2:PM and told my wife he would arrive in approximately 30 minutes. Jerry arrived as he said he would and repaired the unit in less than 30 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and the provider of valuable information concerning our unit.
I am completely satisfied with the service I received from Total Systems Heating & Cooling and recommend them to anyone wanting fair pricing and professional HVAC service.
I have their phone number in my contact list and will call them again in the future when the need arises.

I was very pleasantly surprised when Dwain arrived.  He was polite & kind, honest, & cheerful.  He listened to me, also.  I had previously made an appointment for routine heater/AC servicing to be done with another company and I have since cancelled it to make yearly cleaning contracts with Total Systems Heating & Cooling Inc. because I feel I have finally found a company I can trust. 

The service from office to service man was fast and great! There was a few minor issues getting my air conditioner fixed but it didn't slow Dwain down, he got right on and got it done. I don't think I will be calling anyone else other than Total Systems from now on.

They sent a professional tech out and he checked it out. He determined it was not damaged by the storm. They gave excellent service, very honest people. The professional they sent out was above board in integrity and honesty. I would recommend this company to any here or in the United States.

Tech arrived exactly when he said, which was good because I had to go to my son's house once I got the phone call that he was on his way.  Checked out the system thoroughly, which involved going under the house and checking circuits.  He determined the problem, fixed it, then checked to make sure it was working properly before leaving.    He was efficient and friendlly.

I was under a time crunch.  I was closing on my house 2 days after the seller had just repaired the HVAC system in the house I was buying and I needed to get an HVAC technician out to the house before closing the next day.  I called 3 HVAC companys but no one could do the inspection in the time frame that I was under.  I found Total Systems Heating and Cooling on Angies list and I called them.  First I talked to Edwina and she was able to set up an appointment for me to have the inspection done at 8:00am the day before my closing.  The Technition (Jerry) called me to make sure I was at the house and he arrived 20 min after his call.  Jerry was outstanding.  He was prompt, professional and able to do my requested inspections and went the extra mile to insure that my inspection was done to my satisfaction.  Jerry found that my HVAC systems needed some freon and he told me that the systems were in good shape and running as advertised.  He even went a step more and worked on finding me information on my HVAC systems Warranty information and any other information that I could use on my systems, as the seller who installed the system did not give me any info at all on the system.  I will positively use this company again in the future for my HVAC needs.  If you need HVAC repair Jerry is your man...

I spent about $120 for their services. I didn’t get to interact with them at all and the renter did that. They came out right away. Their service seemed to be reasonable and it was effective. Whatever they did, it worked. I think their price was very good. When it comes to the quality, it hasn’t broken down since then. They came out the same day as well.

They were very good.  They were very professional.  They were right on the job.  I have no complaints about them.  I like those people.  I am very happy with them.  They did a very good job.  They were dead on the price.  I got six different estimates from different people in this area.  I went to these people because they could get it done right away.  They did an excellent job.  I got exactly what I wanted.  They were out here immediately as soon as they said they would be.

They never got back in contact with us.

From the first call to our final appointment, Total Systems has been punctual, responsive, and a joy to work with. As with any home improvement project, we were dreading hiring out some of the work for our bonus room. Total Systems came in within the week we had an estimate and the next week the work on the heating and A/C was complete. Though an unadvertised service, at my husband's request they also assisted him in dropping some electrical wires. I feel like we got well over the value of our money for this service.

Great service from the minute I placed the service request. service tech showed up on time, knew what he was doing and performed in a professional and friendly manor. This is the third a/c company I have used in the two and a half years we have lived here. Total systems is the company I will use from now on.

Fortunately, they worked with us by letting me install my own flex duct runs which saved us quite a bit of money. They went behind us and sealed the runs I installed. I can't thank them enough for working with us like this. They scheduled an installation date less than a week away from when we confirmed our options of units. A team of 3 techs arrived (a little bit later than expected, but only by about 45 minutes) on the installation date. The team worked very well together, they were very polite and respectful to me, and they explained anything that I questioned. There was one problem that required work that had not been planned for in advance, we needed a pump installed because our existing setup would not allow the new system to function properly. They explained the situation and provided the pump and installation for only $90 extra! They had a few set-backs during the installation, but they handled them very well and they were very apologetic for the delays. The techs functioned very well as a team which made me more confident with their end product since they seemed to cross-check each other. (which falls in line with my belief that one should NEVER proof their own work!). The installation took a few hours longer than any of us had anticipated, but that extra time was spent ensuring the system was in perfect working order before they left. When they left, they had cleaned up after themselves beautifully AND even hauled away the old flex ducts that I'd replaced myself. That was totally unexpected and very much appreciated! One other note we're active in animal rescue so good communications and preparations are essential when planning any work in or around our home. They did very well with accommodating our situation, which can be somewhat daunting for workers.
