"The original inspection was done on this old house in February 2024 and I was notified by their realtor this week, June 2024, that there were some issues that they thought had been missed in the inspection. At first the homeowner did not want me to come see the issues and told the realtor that she just wanted a partial refund. I was finally able to speak with her yesterday and told her that I needed to see the issue to see if it was something missed or not and she agreed that the realtor and I could come look at it. Her first issue was she thought that the bathroom laminate floor should have had glue in the seams, however, I explained that it was a floating floor and that the installation was correct. Her attitude was very aggressive and she would not listen to reason. Then she showed us a couple of minor moisture stains on the base of an old plywood cabinet sitting on the basement floor. I had reported on a water leak in a nearby bathroom, however the stains on the cabinets were old, no signs of rotting, and were strictly cosmetic and due to sitting on a basement floor for many, many years. I do not report on "cosmetic" issues that are not signs of ongoing issues and paint would be the only thing required. She then became more aggressive and angry. When it became obvious that she wouldn't listen to reason, I asked her what she wanted to resolve this issue. She stated that she wanted me to say I was sorry and reimburse her $200. I agreed to resolve it that way and put it behind us. After our agreement, she was still harping on the issues and I told her that she didn't know what she was talking about. That's when she became more aggressive, cussing and threatening me and told me to get the hell off of her property. She threatened to get the law involved (in this minor issue) and that's when I told her that she should have done it that way and that I would have whipped her *** in court. I should not have said it that way, but had had enough of being cussed and attacked verbally. I have always talked to customers who have questions and tried to resolve them as best that I can. However, it's very difficult to do if someone won't discuss things rationally."
