TURNER'S MOVING SVC

This was not altogether a good experience. When Mr. Turner gave me an estimate to move my household, he examined what was in the house from attic to crawl space and quoted me $1,000 to make the move. My realtor supervised the moving team, since I was unable to return to Southern Pines on the day of the move. When the movers arrived in Asheville, Mr. Turner increased the price by $500 having discovered that "some of those boxes weighed more than he had estimated when looking at them". In addition, he did not move the several items from the crawl space. However, he had another move to Asheville a day or two later and brought a chest and left it in the garage. But my grandfathers tools did not make it off the truck. I called him immediately and several times thereafter. My grandfather's tools stayed outdoors at his storage facility in Southern Pines for several months. He has brought them to me, but they are now badly rusted and warped. This is a group of nice, hard-working men (Lordy, it was hot on July 14!), and I don't mean to disparage any of them. I just think the professionalism was lacking.
