+ -1 moreKris informed me that he could get the materials needed for an outdoor lighting project from another client that upgraded his outdoor lighting. He insisted that I give him a $300 deposit to buy the materials from the client and start project. We ended up deciding on $100 and I gave him a check (which he cashed right away). He never showed up the next morning as promised, nor has he been returning my calls. I have left him several voice mail messages and now his phone line is no longer accepting messages. Almost 2 months of numerous phone calls/voice mails, I think it's safe to assume that Kris is a completely dishonest and untrustworthy individual who is either running a scam or a hypocritical 'con artist'. I would stay away from doing business with Kris and/or anyone from Martin Electrical. Services

+ -1 moreI didn't hear from him by Monday, 6/14 and I was able to reach him that day. He said they had problems with the baby but he'd come on Tuesday. On Tuesday I got a text message saying he was in the hospital until 3 in the morning. I have been calling ever since.
Description of Work: He came out and gave me an estimate on a job and said if I'd give him a deposit of $100 he'd be able to come back and do the job in 3 hours. He never came back. I tried to contact him and he said he was still coming but he still had parts to get. He said if he wasn't able to come that day, he'd come the next morning. Then I still didn't hear from him so was able to reach him mid-day on the 12th and he said he was in the hospital with his fiance. He said I shouldn't be worried because he left an expensive toolbox.

+ -1 moreKris does excellent work and is very efficient. I am sometimes surprised at how quickly he gets things done! He is quite reliable, his prices are reasonable, and is very easy-going (my dog even likes him!).
Description of Work: Kris has done a great deal of electrical remodeling and repair work for us at our home as well as 2 different rental properties. At the rental properties, he has replaced light fixtures/ceiling fans, installed a wall switch for a pull-chain light, replaced outlets/switches and covers throughout one property, replaced outdoor receptacles, and repaired a/c unit and installed a new disconnect. In our home, he has installed new outdoor motion lights, installed circuits for crawlspace vent fans, updated old electrical and installed new circuits and breakers in detached garage, added a new breaker for our hot tub and replaced outdoor receptacles.
