Would not recommend this company. When you book their service, they will leave out the details and you will end up paying more. They showed up at my house and didn’t even start packing until about 2 hours later. One of the guys asked for my wifi password so he could tune in on sports. They complained the whole time. Told me they were sending my stuff to a storage facility when it was supposed to be delivered straight to my house. And they started charging for every little thing last minute. We were quoted the day of for $1300 and my the time they left, it was around $2400. When paying, you have to use a credit card up front for down payment but on day of moving, they want payment through venmo, Apple Pay, or Zelle. Said they couldn’t take a credit card. Overall a horrible experience and I’m still currently moving things out my house because they didn’t take everything. If they did, I’m sure that would have been another $1000.

I spent 20 years in the military with a move every 2 to 3 years. After my retirement I have had 6 other career moves. I know a lot about good and bad movers. Have to say East Coast moving is right in my top movers. The best thing you can say about a move is that it is hassle free. East Coast move was just that. The crew arrived on time, assessed the move and went to work. They coordinated among the three movers, took super care of my furniture and worked. No sitting around, no frequent breaks, just solid work getting my stuff from one place to my new home. Once they arrived it was like you put a movie in reverse. Everything went from truck to home in quick orderly fashion. The put up what was disassembled, and made sure everything was in place. No hassle, just quality work would definitely use them again.

I called last week to set up an appointment for moving 3 pieces of furniture a distance of a half mile. Since I was a local, they were generous in offering me a 1 hour minimum, rather than the usual 2. The appointment was set for Thursday at 7:30 am and I paid my deposit. I was assured that the men would work efficiently and complete the job in an hour. On the day of the move, the men arrived promptly at 7:30, took a look at what needed moving and got to work. After loading up, traveling the half mile and delivering to my residence, it was then 8:30 (the hour I had already paid for with my deposit). At this time, I was presented with a bill for an additional $125 for travel time. I was never informed that the billing time began at the time they were dispatched and ended when they returned. So basically I was charged $125 for a 24 mile round trip, which is absurd. If I had previously been informed of the real costs, I probably would have made other arrangements for the simple move.

Chris and his team were very punctual and professional and navigated our tricky roads in WV beautifully. They were also very personable, telling us all about the area we were about to move to. Drop off went just as smoothly with punctuality and professionalism and they even worked around our limited date availability. Four stars and highly recommended!!!!!

They were very professional in every way, will hire them again when our things come out of storage into our new home. My rating on price is tricky. Since we moved less than 10,000 pounds, we had to,pay their minimum rate, which I do understand. Even so, they we're less clear costly than my other local quote, and the service was exactly what we needed. Hopefully everything makes it back out of storage without incident, but hard to know until the time comes...

The usual stress of moving aside, everyone involved - from admin and office to the movers themselves - were terrific.  Carrie came out within two days of my contacting them to assess the situation and provide an estimate. She advised me on what to pack and what to leave for the movers to prepare, where to get good boxes, how it will all work, etc.  When moving day came, the three gentlemen arrived on time, were incredibly professional, efficient, respectful of me and all my stuff, knowledgeable on how to pack things to withstand the move.  I couldn't believe the amount of shrink wrap and furniture pads they used to protect every piece of furniture and all the miscellaneous bits and pieces that weren't boxable.  This was clearly not their first rodeo! Two of these three drove the van to Florida and unloaded at the new house with equal professionalism and efficiency.  From wiping their feet each time the walked in to setting up and even moving a couple pieces more than once as we were deciding where we wanted things, they were friendly, helpful, positive, and did everything in their power to get it done and get it done right.
I can't say enough good things about my experience with East Coast moving. Would definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone in need of their service.

The crew of three men and a large moving truck arrived as scheduled at our house in Ohio. They were very careful in disassembling anything that had to be taken apart to be moved and very considerate in conferring with us whenever they had a question. The packing and loading took two days, and they were very careful in loading the truck so nothing would shift on the trip to North Carolina. They even managed to fit in a very large and heavy iron pot that had been in my wife's family for many years and that we thought would have to be left behind. After a trip of over 700 miles, they arrived as scheduled at our new house in North Carolina and carefully unloaded the over 10,000 pounds of items, placing them in the rooms indicated, reassembling everything they had disassembled for the move, and placing the heavy iron pot on a sunny spot in the yard as requested. Because of power lines at our Ohio house and trees at our North Carolina house, they had to park on the street at both places, which meant a lot of lifting and toting for them. Everything was in fine shape when they were finished and we are very pleased. We could not have asked for any more careful, considerate movers to help us move from our home of nearly forty years to our new home.

This company is fantastic! They also laid down a covering from the doorway into the house. Every piece of furniture with drawers or doors was wrapped in plastic and then covered with padding when put on the truck. The men were very careful with everything they loaded. When it was time to unload, they covered the full glass panel on the side of our front door and laid the covering on the floor again. They also took a mattress and box spring we had in a bedroom (not part of the move) and put it up into the attic for us. They went above and beyond any mover we had used previously and we have moved 12 times. I would definitely recommend them for any type of move.

This is our 6th move with East Coast. Obviously a good recommendation in itself. They arrived promptly, packed our glass and granite tabletops and loaded us out of the NC house on 19th. We requested a delivery date of 22nd to our New residence in Fredericksburg and they arrived and moved us in. As always the staff were friendly and very accommodating and we can't say enough good things about them!

When we approximated the price of our move Carrie thought the price would be $6600. but it actually came in at $5500. I believe interstate moves are based on final weight so this was the reason for the significant difference in price. We have bought a lot of new furniture so we did not move all of our NJ furniture.

The movers drove up from NC the day before our move and arrived at exactly at 9AM as Carrie had told me. When they finished our house and storage unit they said they were starting the drive back south. They drove the next day and then loaded all of our belongings into 2 storage units in NC until we need it moved to our new house at the end of September. We left NJ several days later and the movers brought all of our property down and packed it into 2 units that we had not seen in Calabash, SC. I had marked multiple boxes and tubs with distinctive tape and asked the men to try to keep them at the front of the units so I could access them. When we went to the units everything I asked them to keep in front was easily accessable.

BTW. The woman at Calabash Storage was also great and called us during the move in day to tell us we needed another unit and took care of everything for us. We did need 2 units for all of the things but the movers packed them TIGHTLY. No wasted space.

We will be using this company again to move us from the storage unit to our new house and I have no qualms about the type of service we will receive.

It went without a hit h. We moved possesions from three different sights without a mishap! Their price was great too!

They price their services based on an estimate of the wait. They do have a good local storage facility by them if we need to keep a few things there. The storage place gives the moving company a good rate. Our prejudice is to go with the local stores. They have a list of about 25 people who will recommend them if we choose the use them. We got the moving company from our Realtor at Coldwell Banker.

This was our 5th move with Chris and Carrie.

Chris and his employees arrived at our home in Northern Virginia on February 14th to load our possessions and furnishings. We did most of our own packing. They packed heavy glass such as china hutch shelves, coffee table tops etc. We have a lot of glass! They also dismantled beds and a few pieces of furniture. They were very careful and efficient.

On the 16th they delivered us to our home in Leland NC. Again they were prompt, careful and efficient. They put together everything they took apart and more. Right down to cleaning the china cabinet shelves after assembly. Very impressive job, crew and company. That is why we have returned 5 times for them to drive us about the country!
