I initially took my 2008 Ford Escape to another shop. It took them 2 days to road test the car. They said I needed to replace the torque converter at a cost of $900+. The car was occasionally shifting a little funny, but no warning lights came on. Since they took so long to road test the car, I decided to take it to Doran's. When I spoke with Brian on the phone he indicated that it just might need some fluis changes. I dropped off the car on a Thursday night, got a call the next day that the car was done. It needed the fluids changed---that was
it !!! The $900+ job turned into $100 and the car runs great. I will highly recommend Doran's Transmissions to everyone !!!

We had Excellent service!!!! We arrived in Ocean Isle at 2:30 pm after driving 9 hours and after parking the suburban for a couple of hours we started to leave for dinner and realized that the transfer case was in pieces inside. Since it was late Saturday evening nothing was open so we called our roadside assistance and we had to wait until Monday morning to have it towed to Doran's Transmission Service. Dorans received the car about 11:30 am on Monday morning and by 1:30 that same day the mechanic called my husband and told him that the transfer case had blown completely apart and it was going to be $1580 total to fix it so my husband told him to go ahead and fix and we had went on Sunday morning and rented vehicles because we have 6 children and just assumed it would take most of the week to repair it but when my husband asked how long for the repair the mechanic said I'll have it for you tomorrow!!!!!(Tuesday)!!!!! And sure enough on Tuesday at 1:30 pm he called my husband and said your car is ready to be picked up and the total cost was $1580!!!!! These people are totally awesome, extremely nice and understanding of vacationers and their situation!!!!! I only wish that they were here in our hometown so I could refer everyone I know to them!!!!! Thank you Doran's Transmission Service for making our vacation a great one!!!!!!! Your the best!!!!!!!
