Drew is very friendly, professional, and responsive. We setup two appointments - one for an estimate and one for the work. He was on time for both and we never needed to reschedule anything. From first contact to the job being finished was less than a month.
I couldn't be happier.
Excellent Job !!! Highly Recommend
Drew is On time , excellent / clear estimate .. work was all clean up after - as if he was where there !
He actually fixed an issue with the drawers that the original installer did incorrectly . for no additional charge
I would use him again for any cabinet repairs or installs
I was very pleased with the timeliness and quality of the work. He was willing to get to my house before 8 am each morning so that we could discuss the project before I left for work. I have nothing but praise for the quality of the work. He even fixed my storm door, which had not been installed properly, and did not charge me extra since it was not on the original estimate.
I will contact him again for additional work.
On January 17, we sent an email outlining our frustration with the pace and the inconvenience of having our belongings still in boxes. We had lost confidence in his ability to complete the job in a timely manner and cancelled the contract due to breach of terms on his part. We asked to purchase all items needed to complete the kitchen. The business owner agreed that he would bring everything required to complete the kitchen if we paid an additional $9K. We provided an inventory of the remaining items and he agreed to bring everything the following day. We gave him a $9k cashier?s check.
We hired a contractor to complete the job. His quote outlined the missing materials from our inventory list, cabinet doors not sized properly, and other repairs to complete the project. He noted several items that could be replaced but not repaired, such as mismatched paint and defects on the left side of the shelving and cabinets.
We are not satisfied with the product provided, the way we were treated, and thus would not recommend this vendor.
We waited a few years because 1) We felt some of them were not totally competent to handle the task 2) The job was too small for some so they inflated the estimate and 3) We didn't want to pay the outrageous amount extra for the work on top of the cost of getting the new fridge 4) The cost needed to be reasonable because eventually, we want to renovate the kitchen but until then, we'd like to keep the current cabs.
We recently joined Angie's List because we are currently undergoing renovations throughout the house. This is when I found Drew's Cabinets (enter angel music here).

When you have work done, the person can end up spending several hours in your home, working. Drew is the sort of person you want to hire when you have work done in your home. You know what I mean, the way some "professionals" are annoying, unkempt, cigarette smelly, muddy shoed and they end up breaking and bumping into other things in your home they weren't even there to fix in the first place? Well, Drew isn't like that at all, he's easy to "live" with.
So, about the actual cabinet work. Drew was up for the task of using our existing cabinet and no-big-dealingly and magically shortening the section and doors as well as the microwave cubby. He ended up having to sand down and repaint them (bonus points, no extra charge or complaining). He texted and sent pics with questions about options along the way (good communication). He went the EXTRA STEP and painted the interior of the doors and microwave cubby that weren't even painted before (wow, thanks SO much, that touch made ALL the difference in updating the look!!!!). He hung the cabinets even more securely than they originally were and then cleaned up his tools and left as if he was never even there. I truly enjoyed his company as well as that of his employee, David. Oh, and I forgot to add, he did it all at OVER 3 TIMES LESS $ than the other guys were willing to do it. All this and more for good old-fashioned handcrafted work.
I highly recommend Drew for any type of woodworking job and I look forward to working with him again in a few years when we renovate our kitchen. Now that I see his work, I'd much rather have cabinets made by Drew than any other type of prefab.
Thank you so much, Drew for your help, we couldn't be any happier with the results!
Great job. Cabinet looks super. No worries about this cabinet falling off the wall!
He suggested improvements to our existing kitchen cabinets that will make our kitchen much
more functional. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Drew.
Since , we have had drew refinish a hand made antique curio cabinet and were very pleased with the finished product.
