I was playing with my smartphone that is a couple of years old. When android updated, it really made the battery wear down much faster, and I thought (from reading some online forums) that I could roll back the android version to what it had been. Instead, I hard bricked the phone, rendering it useless. I live in the Raleigh area, and called a few local repair shops, but they only do cracked screen replacements or other simple repairs. I called Gadget Guys, and they said if I sent it there, they would do a free estimate. They had to go pretty deep into it, because it could not be fixed by reflashing or correcting the software. The only thing they could do was actually replace the logic board. The $95 bill included the board, labor and shipping it back to me. Since I can sell the phone for more than that, it was worth it. The whole process took about 10 days, and 4 or 5 of that was the shipping to and from. The phone was like a brand new one, it activated on my carrier like it was supposed to and works perfectly. If I have any more phone or computer problems, I don't care that Sanford is an hour away, I'm going with this company, they do great work at a good price.

I took my computer to their store and the young man was able to fix it. My first impression was that he was busy and not the most professional I've ever seen, but he was able to get it done and fix the machine. Later I realized that he was running the place by himself and seemed stretched pretty thin. I'm happy that my computer now works.
