Description of Work: They did a pre-season inspection for my A/C.

Description of Work: This is the second time I've used these folks and I'm still happy. I called them last year for a repair and this time for a spring tune-up. The technician's name was Jimmy and he arrived on time, was very courteous and did a thorough job of checking out both my systems. I even saved some money because they were running a spring special. I will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Had just moved to Raleigh from Maine & had no experience with central air. The service man explained everything that we needed to know. He replaced a part that might have lasted another few months but explained there would be another service charge plus cost of part if he had to come back. We were pleased with his honesty...instead of just waiting until the part died & we would have to pay another service charge. Our system has worked

Description of Work: I am new to Angie's List (just joined December, 2012)and decided to take advantage of Angie's "Big Deal" Coupon for Furnace Tune Up/Inspection and Cleaning. The technician, David, was professional and courteous. He respected my home and took care not to damage anything during the inspection. He took time to explain and to show me the damaged/cracked heat exchanger that needed replacement on my unit, but given the unit is 20+ years old, we determined a replacement furnace was more cost-effective. I appreciate the care and concern for our safety and comfort and the professional manner in which he approached this project. Comfort First even refunded the cost of the tune up, given that they were not able to perform the service due to the condition of the furnace. I felt good about this experience and plan to use Comfort First as the contractor to install/replace my heating and ac unit.

Description of Work: The initial tech they sent out for the Angie's list deal was the only positive experience I had with them. He convinced me to sign up with the service plan so I kept trying to use them since I'd already paid for a service plan, but it has been awful. Each time after the initial tune-up they they have been slow to respond to quotes, I've had to check back multiple times, only to be told they haven't forgotten about me they're just busy. I tried to get a quote on having my unit rebuilt, because it was put together incorrectly by a previous AC company. They said they didn't think it needed to be done, I insisted and after some feet dragging they eventually quoted me $900 but then on the day they came out to do the work they didn't do what we had discussed, they just attached a metal bracket to the wall told my roommate that the fixed the vibration problem. But the vibration problem wasn't what I was concerned about, I made it clear that the problem was that water was dripping inside the unit rusting it out. They chose to ignore that and do what they wanted instead. A few months later the water dripping inside shorted out the circuit board, for the second time, and I called them to try to get them to service it, but again they put me off for a week and I ended up having to get someone else to come fix it. Then last week they called to schedule the next tune-up, I almost told them not to bother, but I decided to give them one more chance. I scheduled it for 1pm, I wasted my entire afternoon waiting for them and then I gave up at 2:45pm and went back to work, where I should have been that whole time. Then they call me at 4:30 and say "where are you", I say I was there when the tech was supposed to be there and they tell me "no, it was scheduled for 1-5pm". That's not what I was told. I told them to cancel my service plan. This is the first negative review I've given on Angie's List. I believe in giving everyone multiple chances and I don't write negative reviews, I just don't write a review if I don't think they company did a very good job, but my experience with these guys has been consistently bad.
