Great!! Patrick and Pam are experts in the field. Everything went smoothly and right on schedule. Josh and Carl as well as the support team were professional and courteous; they answered all our questions and handled concerns. We highly recommend this business to anyone looking to maintain their swimming pool.

I called with a problem on a Sunday afternoon. I left a message expecting to get a call back the next day. Pam called an hour or so later with troubleshooting advice. When that didn't work, we talked again and she scheduled Patrick to come out the next day. He was very knowledgable and figured out the problem within 20 or so minutes. He went on to offer other tips and advice. I will be calling them again!!!

Royal Pool Service is a husband and wife team, Pam and Patrick. I was in contact with Pam for several days, asking numerous questions about the process and options. She was extremely responsive, knowledgeable and patient. She provided immediate estimates for all my inquiries. After I chose the vinyl liner pattern, Pam told me that they would order the liner and it would take about two weeks to arrive. We set a day for Patrick to come and set up his pump to drain our pool, and we set a date for replacing the liner and pipes in the filter setup. Patrick came on September 6 and set up the pump to drain the water from the pool. It took about 4-5 days for the pool to empty. Pam and Patrick came back as scheduled on September 10 and replaced the liner and pipes. They set up the vacuum to vacuum all the air out from around the liner in the pool then turned on the water to refill the pool to a certain level so that they can come back the next day and finish installing the pool light and all the brackets, faceplates and gaskets. Overall it was a painless process. Patrick and Pam provided an outstanding service. They finished the job neatly, quickly and efficiently. It's usually very difficult to find people that are hardworking and possess a sense of honesty and integrity. But rare as it is, I believe that is what I found with Royal Pool Service. Hope to use them again in a few months to convert to a salt-water system. I highly recommend this company!

On their first visit, they examined the spa and determined that the problem was a bad fuse, only after calling technical support at Jucuzzi who had to walk them through the process because they were not familiar with "this type of spa". This was a surprise as Jacuzzi is not an unusual brand in the spa world! They did not have the fuse in stock, so went to a few suppliers in town, but said they could not locate one and would have to order one that would arrive in about a week. Two weeks later, after a call from us to find out what the status was, they returned to install the fuse. As the spa worked immediately after the installation, they collected their fee and left. Later that same day we went to use the spa and it was not working. We called them back and described the error message showing on the spa's readout, and they said that it was likely a bad temperature sensor this time and that they had one in stock and would be out in a few days to repair it. Several days later, they came out to repair it and, of course, they did not have the correct sensor in stock and would have to order one to be delivered on Friday of that week and that they would come on Monday to replace it. When asked why they did not test the sensors when they were here the first time, they replied that they could not do so because of the bad fuse. Whether this is true or not, I cannot say, but am suspect. I received a call late in the afternoon on Friday saying that they did not receive the part and would expect it on Monday. They came out today (Tuesday) with the part and could not install it because they said that they could not get to the screw that they needed to remove because it was blocked by a beam (our spa is built-in). When asked why they did not realize this when they were out before, he replied that he thought he would have enough room, but was wrong. His partner even suggested that we just hang the sensor over the side of the tub instead of having it properly installed! After all this, they had the nerve to charge me for the service call, saying that "it was not their fault that the spa was built-in so that they could not access the screw". After seeing the same spa 3 times prior!!
My main complaints are this:
> Our spa has been out of commission for well over a month now and is still not fixed.
> They do not seem to know much about how to repair a spa, as they had to rely on Jacuzzi's techical support for everything they did.
> They had none of the parts in stock.
> They did not call with any notice of when they would be arriving, they would simply show up and begin work without even the courtesy of a knock on the door to notify us that they were here. I only knew that they were in my yard because my dog would bark like crazy!
I can say without hesitation that I would not recommend Royal Pool Service to anyone.
My main complaints are this:

They are wonderful. I called them on Monday and they came out on Tuesday morning. They have taken over the full care of the pool. They come every month to check it out. They charge $20 a month and it is a little more money if they have to do anything else. They come reliably. I was at work and I told them that I had a problem. I text them and they text me back within 5 seconds. The lady who sent me the text message was absolutely fantastic. I called her two weeks ago and set up a date. Then she came and closed the pool. I didn’t have to be here. She e-mailed me a bill and I paid her. The company is run by a husband and wife. They are an older couple and nicest people. Pam is one of the owners. They are the only people and they don’t get involved with other people. It cost me $67 in July and $20 in August instead of $300 a month for chemicals. The pool was crystal clear and I didn’t add anything into it. It was wonderful. They are really nice. I wish I could pay them for being as nice as they are. One of the anesthesiologists I work with recommended Royal Pool Service to me. They are an hour away from where I work. I can’t say enough good things about them. I spent $135 when they were last here to close the pool. They told me that I needed a new pool cover and they told me how much it was. So, I told them that I have other things to do and they said that we could work on it next year. My filters would probably not start next year and so the owner said that we could talk about it over the winter. She told me to call her early in the spring to get a date to come out and go over it. She also told me to give her a call if there were any problems.
