Brian is professional, responsive, punctual, and friendly.  I've received very positive feedback from clients from his work on repairs to full kitchen renovations.  Brian is a contractor that I fully trust to do good work while having reasonable prices.

2/27/15 Update - Quality of some of the work is really starting to show poorly.  The built-in's that Brian built and specifically the doors which are too large for the structure and failing.  I have had to modify the design to help support them.  At some point I fear they will fall off completely.  I was too soft with Brian when he failed to follow our design for the doors, in hindsight I should have required him to rebuild them.  Very disappointing after spending so much.  

Brian was good to work with in the beginning but he failed to disclose a few crucial things. One that he would be charging tax on the custom built -in's.  Because it is considered building furniture, he is apparently required to charge tax under NC state law.  I don't dispute the law but it would have been known that would be the case because the tax on several thousand dollars shelves is not cheap.  He also charged for items that it was not clear he would be charging for.  I would have expected him to say "for me to do this, it will cost $$ more".  Next we gave him a picture of doors we wanted, but he changed the design.  We decided to go with it but now I regret it.  Now 3 1/2 years later the doors on our shelves are sagging because they are bigger than what we originally ordered.  I have friends who have used him successfully and Brian does good work but his communication and sticking to what was designed can be improved.

Brian Heath carries himself with an utmost amount of professionalism which exceeds that of his counterparts in his industry, and would be a high standard for any industry. He returns emails and phone calls in a timely manner, submits itemized, clear, estimates promptly and in the timeframe he specifies, and is the type of person who people feel comfortable around. After using Brian on 10 or so jobs for clients and friends with excellent feedback on his work, I am now looking for every opportunity to refer him and also hire him for my own house. Brian is the type of person who builds a reputation through consistent, quality action, and I would recommend calling him first on any home project you are considering.

I wanted built in shelves. I was not sure how it would look and he walked me through it and the style he would recommend to go with the house.  He always showed up early. He was great and always ready to get to work. It only took 2 to 3 days to put them in and the price seemed reasonable. He worked within the budget, made recommendations of how they could be built, and keep things more reasonable. I recommend him.

He did a great job.  He came on time and kept us updated as he worked.  He cleaned up his mess.  1-2 weeks later, he called to see how we liked the job and gave feedback on our questions.  We would definitely hire him again.

Brian did an excellent job, came in on budget, fixed issues that we hadn't foreseen, and did all of this in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend him.

Brian is very knowledgeable, efficient, and easy to work with. He did a great job with everything we asked him to do. For the larger jobs, he came out to estimate the work beforehand. He cleans up after himself.
