Mr. Pearce did all the work himself. He kept me well informed throughout. He discovered a second tank I didn't know was there. That called for a second load of dirt to fill the hole. He finished the work in less than 3 hours. His charges, I thought, were reasonable.

After receiving estimates, I contacted Jerry Pearce to verbally discuss the work that was to be done. I had hoped to have the work completed within 2 weeks, which Jerry agreed would be possible. I was unable to be home at the time the work was to be performed but was very comfortable with Jerry proceeding in my absence. He had contacted "No Cuts" to locate underground utilities and indicated that he would "follow behind" and locate the utilities since the locations weren't always accurate. Jerry called me on two separate occasions the day the work was performed. The first call was simply a status update. His original plans needed to be modified since the location of the existing drain field was not quite as marked by Environmental Services. He was unflapped by this detail. The second call was to indicate that the modifications had passed inspection. He detailed everything that occurred. It was truly a pleasurable experience.

Jerry was awesome. He was very informative & explained to my husband & I about our fields, what NOT to flush down the toilet, & how often we should have our septic cleaned. He was very clean in digging up our two lids & replacing everything back where it belonged. He was also a real nice guy! We definitely recommend Pearce Backhoe & Septic to anyone needing their services.

They came out same day as promised, diagnosed the problem and installed a temporary pump until they could pick up a new one. They returned the next day as promised, swapped out the temp with the new and left. Received the bill about ten days later. Very professional did exactly what they said, tested the system and fixed other problematic area on the system at no charge while they were on site and had the system open. What more could one ask for?

The guys are very busy, and since we don't live in this house, we were able to wait on our service. I have to admit that we did start to get a bit impatient though. However, on the day the work was done, most of the family was on hand to help, even though it was drizzling rain and a bigger storm was approaching. The work was done efficiently and with no mess left behind. The guys even tolerated my thousands of questions as I try to grasp the vocabulary and principles of keeping all my waste in the front yard. I will say that I wasn't prepared for the price, but most of the expense was related to fixing something that was installed improperly under the previous owner's watch.
