They did an excellent job. The price is as good as or better than going to Pep Boys, they didn't gauge me.

First visit charged the a/c and said a/c worked but reported hissing sound. I informed the mechanic that the car does not "hiss". I drove the car about 2 miles and then brought it back because the a/c didn't work. After trouble shooting the decision was that a cable strap had worn a hole in the aluminum tubing of the a/c so it had to be replaced. Since parts had to be ordered the car was left with them for 2 weeks and I authorized an oil change also. The section of tubing was reported fixed and a test drive revealed that it did not work. On this vist it was noted that it was diffcult to get in gear and to shift and the steering was not right. Brought the car back again and this time, after over a week in the shop, it was reported they could not fix it and feared that they had overcharged the system and the compressor may be shot as a result. The master and slave cylinder for the hydraulic clutch quit working, all the fluid levels were over filled (did not ask for the fluids to be topped off or checked as standard off the shelf fluids are not used innthis vehicle as it is raced), the brake and clutch hydraulic fluid were contaminated and had to be bled out, the dip stick/cap for the power steeting was broken and would not seat tightly and p/s fluid leaked out of it. The car had oily/dirty prints all over the door, steering wheel, door handles and the carpet had greasy prints on it. Took car home and parked it for a couple of months because the car would not turn properly and it was hazardous to drive it that way. Got the slave and master cylinder replaced by another shop at an additional cost (over what is previously referenced) of $725. Ordered the repair part for the dipstick and it took a month to come in because this is a 91 Miata with p/s and a/c and that was a special package that year. When I replaced the part and cleaned up the p/s fluid that had gotten out I hit a pulley that turned freely and at that point discovered that the mechanic had left the drive belt for the a/c and p/s off. When confronted about what was done the mechanic was in complete denial, had a bad attitude (turning away and rolling his eyes) and finished by telling me that I was trespassing and I should never come back. That's a certainty! The oil change appears to have been done correctly.
