The line he was to connect was a sewer system to a completely new installation and bypass the current system. When the work was complete he was paid and when the existing tank was being filled in it was. Noted to have soap bubbles present in the tank . This tank had been completely pumped out while Mr. Hooper was working and should not have had any connection to the house. This was noted within 1 hour of Mr. Hopper completing his service. He was notified immediately and stated he was on another job and would not come by the same evening but would be by on Sunday morning. When the old tank was checked the water lines from the kitchen , downstairs bathroom sink and downstairs shower remained on the old system. This approximated one half of all the lines from the house to the tank.Mr. Hooper explained that this was because the house was " not plumbed to code". The house is approx. 28 years old and I do not know who updates their plumbing to code each year . On arrival to our home Sunday morning, Mr. Hooper explained that it would cost $200-250 more to plumb in the lines he failed to plumb, and was paid for and he could not do the job as all suppliers ( did he not know this before coming out?) we're not open and he would do the job in the am. We live out of town and delayed going home waiting on this man to make the job an honest one but he failed. He was dismissed and a state complaint form will be filed about the poor job that was done. I would strongly suggest not using this individual that is not even familiar with pipes protruding from a home and how to plumb them as he thinks he can take your money, screw up the job and charge you to repair his mistakes. We have plenty of friends with homes in North Carolina and you can bet they will all hear about this.
Description of Work: He was hired to connect a home sewer line to a new system. He quoted a price of $ 350-500 and when completed the job charged 550.00
