The hardwood flooring "missed the train" twice, is what we were told. Its delay caused considerable problems with our house renovation and move from one house to the renovated house, When it finally arrived, our contractor began to install it and commented on the varying widths. He claimed that we had been sold "seconds". It was too late to make an issue of it, and we told him to do the best he could. The carpeting was ordered mid-November and we were told the hardwood flooring needed to be installed before the carpeting in the bedrooms. Of course, with the delay in wood delivery and delay in installation due to width issues, we paid for the carpeting in advance and asked that it be held in the warehouse. We were told that was no problem, in November. After the Christmas holiday, we expected the carpeting to be delivered and installed. There was a problem and another delay of a week, with getting the carpet. When it finally arrived, it was the wrong color. We were frustrated since it had been over 6 weeks, and enough time for the dealer tp order and receive the correct carpet. We asked the dealer to rush order the correct carpet. He could not tell us when it would arrive. And by the way, he never returned phone calls throughout the whole wood and carpet transaction. We had to chase him down. Finally, we asked for a full cash refund. Again, he was unresponsive. We finally sought the advice of our attorney. We sent an email to the dealer, and presume that his wife received the email and immediately responded. We did receive the money back. But it was an awful experience and very, very disappointing. The information that we received is that the color we ordered was no longer made, and why that was not revealed early on, is unfathomable, since we could have selected a different color, and even carpet, in early December.
