"Josh replaced our wooden porch railing with wrought iron. He did exactly as we wanted based on pictures we sent him, at a reasonable price, and exactly in the timeframe he said he could do it. He is very meticulous and professional and we would recommend him to anyone and use him again if we have a need. Thank you Josh!"

"I live in a 55+ condo community. The metal platform holding 2 mailboxes was damaged by a delivery truck and the platform was cracked. Troy and his project manager were able to weld the platform back perfectly. Both gentleman were extremely professional, answered all my questions and did a great job. I highly recommend! I am a hardworking young man who is dedicated to my craftsmanship. I have been fabricating and welding since I was 15 years old. In my time welding it has taken me to the tops of water towers and as deep as coal mines. I have also worked in various power plants as a welder. Looking to start my own business and help out the people in need.

Welding questions, answered by experts

To maintain custom or fabricated metal structures and extend their lifespan and appearance, perform regular cleaning, apply rust prevention treatments, and use protective coatings.

The average cost for a welding project is about $300, with typical costs ranging from $125 to $490. However, prices can be as low as $125 for very small jobs or exceed $1,200 for large or complex projects. Welders typically charge an hourly rate between $65 and $150, depending on their experience, and many charge a minimum fee to cover overhead and travel expenses. The total cost is influenced by several factors, including labor, the cost of materials like metal rods and shielding gas, the type of metal being welded, the project's size and complexity, and your geographic location. For a precise quote, it's best to ask a local welder for an estimate based on your specific project.

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

Yes, you can cut up a box spring., but you’ll need to do so in layers. You can clear the fabric and fluff away to reveal the springs before removing them as well.
