Chad and his team did an amazing job installing a drainage system in my back yard. From the time I contacted through the execution of the job, everything was great. The price was very competitive and the job was so thorough that other than a few new catch basins, pop-up drains and connections to my down spouts, the yard/sod looks barely disturbed despite all of the extensive digging. I highly recommend Whittaker Worx!

Chad Whittaker is professional and knows his business. He owns his own equipment, and knows it well, which we much preferred to someone that would have to rent equipment they rarely operate. He helped us modify a landscape plan developed by someone else to make it simpler and more budget-friendly, and was able to suggest additional/different plantings as needed. We will have him back to put pavers down in the parking area and to lay sod.

He was very good at the consult stage of identifying what plants and what might look good here, so he worked with us on the design, that was pretty good. We talked about what plants would look well in what location, got that all squared away. Then he came in and did the work. We wanted sod on one particular section in the backyard, and he made a recommendation there, and he came and did the work. He was very good to work with at the design consultation stage. He worked quickly when it came to doing the planting and mulching. There was a problem with the weather that year, we had wanted to put down a specific Bermuda grass sod, it was a cold wet spring, and the sod wasn't ready when he thought it was going to be ready. So what had happened was, he had gotten his bobcat in and smoothed out the spot for the sod, and the sod didn't come, and it didn't come, and it rained, and it washed away the soil, and the sod didn't come. It finally arrived, he did not re prepare the soil. So whatever topsoil had been left, after his initial grading, had been washed away, and he laid the sod right down on top of the hard clay, and so it didn't take. He should have made sure the soil was properly prepared before he put the sod down. The overall price I think was competitive. While he was waiting for the sod to be ready or for any other materials, he would not communicate with me, and I'm wondering, what in the heck is this guy doing? Bad form to leave your customers wondering if you're still thinking about them. I gave him that feedback in person, and I hope he's taken that to heart, but I haven't followed up with him.

Chad did a great job of listening to my desire to work up my planting beds so they would be easy for me to plant myself as well as preparing soil and installing sod. Tree roots were ground, area was tilled and additional topsoil and mulch were added so planting beds are easy for me to dig. Sod was added and trimmed so that mowing and trimming will be easier. I was especially pleased that his price was fair for labor and good quality topsoil and screened mulch. He also transplanted some shrubs from my existing landscape to the new plan. He was punctual for appointments, professional, and courteous. Cleanup was good. I enjoyed working with him and am very pleased with the end product. I will definitely call Whittaker Worx for future projects.

Chad was responsive to calls and email from the first call up to project completion. We desired foundational plantings, a raised bed, and flagstone to enhance the front walkway of our house. He came out and assessed the situation promptly. He listened to our request for low-maintenance evergreen plants with color. He was prompt and reasonable with the quote but it was still mid-winter so we decided to wait a few weeks until it warmed up. As the weather warmed, I called him and arranged the work for the following week. He kept me in the loop regarding logistics and was punctual and left the site clean throughout the job. The front of the house and walkway look great! I'll be calling him again if we have any other landscaping needs.
