This company takes your money for services and then does not provide services! After the error was found made on their part, they want to charge an additional $25.00 for pick up to take advantage of customers especially during this period of crisis!

Waste Industries bought my old collection service, Veteran Waste. At first it was going OK. Then they informed me that they would be changing the pick up day. From that point on they never picked up my recycling. I called numerous times and emailed. Each time I was told that they would come out and pick it up, but that never happened. After about a month of this, I gave up and cancelled the recycling service.

Mine was out of the Graham office. They decided last May that they would no longer pickup in my part of Efland. The letter said the next pickup would be the last. Supposedly it wasn't cost effective for them. There are several people on my road & the road that I live off of. There is also a school literally around the corner from me that they pick up from. My house is the 1st one on my road, sometimes they didn't even stop at my house & stopped at my Sister-In-Laws house & picked up hers. They bought out a small company that was in HIllsborough they had really big bins & great prices..........wish I could have them back. There is only 1 company in Efland that does trash pick up & they charge more & do not provide the bin. I really hate putting trash in the back of my van so we double bag it & put down plastic sheeting in case something leaks. There was 2 or 3 times they took my bin because they said I hadn't paid the bill. I always paid for a full year & had the receipts to prove it. They billed my over $30 to return the bin which I did not pay because of their mistake.

? ? ?I am providing 1? year review of the service I received from Wast Industries at my home in Wake Forest. They are the biggest garbage collection company in the area so you think that you can get consistent service. My collection day is Wednesdays every week and for that I pay $58.xx/quarter. During holidays they run one day behind so I don't get picked up on Thursday.? ? ? ?During the winter we had three weeks of storms that coincidentally came on Wednesday so they would call and give us notice that they were not going to come to collect the garbage and eventually it was so bad that I ended up having to get rid of the garbage myself Waste Industries did not give me a credit for the missed service. I had to call them and tell them to give me a credit. They make no effort to make up for the fact that our whole area was without service for 3 weeks they just focusing on everybody else. ? ? ?Overall they do provide the service I contract for. My garbage gets collected. It is my preference that when they need to flex with bad weather they do it better and be reasonable about it. I don't expect to have to call to ask for the credit. I don't expect to call and say when you going to come get my garbage I expect that to be done they know the garbage is collecting at my home and its their job to remove it.

We were previously customers of Shaw Sanitation, which was purchased by the much larger Waste Industries. We had Waste Industries for weekly services ever since that merger. Last year, we were informed that our neighborhood pickup day was changing from mid-week to Friday, which was inconvenient for us. Several new companies recently had emerged as competitors offering less expensive service, and we decided due to price, the service date changing, and some professionalism issues, we would switch to Veteran Waste Solutions, and we have been so much happier. 
What I would say to Waste Industries Management is this: Not once since switching to Veteran Waste Solutions have we arrived home to find our recycling bin has been emptied and is sitting full of dirt and rain water, nor have we found that the empty bins have been hurled carelessly down into the ditch (this happened frequently with Waste Industries), nor have we once found our trash can emptied, but sitting pretty much in the middle of the road or overturned. Often times, we would find that even on days that were not windy, there was stray trash left scattered after the pickup, which is unacceptable. This no longer happens with our new service.
The difference for us was not only the price savings (about 15%) by switching, it was the professionalism we see now compared to feeling like Waste Industry employees just plain do not care. It is a pleasure to now arrive home to find our trash can neatly at the edge of the driveway, with our recycling bin emptied, turned upside down, and placed neatly right by the garbage can. Our new service is far more reliable & professional. While some people might say, it's only trash service, seeing neatly dressed employees who conduct trash pickup professionally & respectfully, makes a huge difference.
We received a mailing today and it appears Waste Industries is trying to recover some of the business they have lost to several new companies we now have the choice of using - they have apparently instituted a "Full Circle Project" which focuses on their charitable giving efforts throughout the year. In all the time we were customers, we had never heard anything of this charitable giving. It's wonderful you are involved in charitable giving, however, I would suggest that you focus on the professionalism at the curb, first, if you want your former customers back.

Trash was left in the street after they dumped the pails. A 4and quot; snow event caused them to not pick up trash for 2 weeks was the last straw and I cancelled the service.

They bought out most competition then started price gouging. Collection trucks would frequently arrive in the neighborhood at 5 to 6 pm or later. I frequently had only partially emptied pails. They would not check after the automatic lift device dumped the trash to see if the pail was empty.

I had contracted with the company for close to 3 years. My guess is they grew too fast.

Pick up around 8 am every Wed.

I like the fact that they notify me if the day of the pickup is going to be changed due to a holiday, weather and things like that. I would recommend them because they are a good company to use and are dependable. I don't know how much we pay for the service; my husband pays the bill.

I have no problems with the pick up. The billing is horrible, I have issues with the administrative part. But, the people that come and pick up are friendly.
