Clean as a whistle. Friendly, professional, excellent experience with a dye study MRI (no pain at all). The MRI is brand new, sheets are clean, pads are provided to make you more comfortable on the table, and they have ear phones for music. Highly recommend. Do yourself a favor and buy Mac Wax earplugs to wear under the headphones (foam ones they provide don't work for me). Contrast this w/Alliance Mobile imaging used by Raleigh Radiology. Wretched. Their MRI machine is 5+ years old in the back of a truck. The entire time you're inhaling the diesel fumes - AWFUL. I don't even know if they offer ear plugs (I brought my own). No blankets, not that they were needed. It was actually warm inside and reeked of the cigarette smoke odor from one of the techs. I'd NEVER go back. Wake Radiology has my vote forevermore.

When I went to the orthopedic doctor a week after the MRI, he said that the most helpful view (a cross section of the disc between L5 and S1) was missing, and he had ordered it to be done.
I then I got my bill in the mail - after insurance paid what they would, I still owed $1044.00.  I called to ask if I can pay a reduced fee, for example, if my doc ordered 4 views and received only 3, give me 25% off.  No, they said I would have to tell  the doctor to call them. Like one can ever get hold of an orthopedic surgeon on the phone!
I had minimal wait time.  However, there were multiple "type-os" on the form regarding my contact information. That was easily corrected on the spot.
These MRI instruments are already paid for.  I understand there are staffing and professional expenses (lots of them).  But who on earth is making all this money?????
If an MRI is not helpful as diagnostic tool, the insurance companies should tell us, the consumer, directly - not penalize us with the expenses.

I actually go to the Wake Forest office on Rogers Road.  Staff is absolutely wonderful, there is NO wait time, and you are made to feel like a person--no assembly line attitude here.  I really liked everyone, but have to give a special shout out to Mary!

I like Wake Radiology’s location. I went to Raleigh, Durham but they have several other locations. The front desk does not give you information. They don’t prepare you.

The lab technicians were friendly and courteous. They are communicative and they tell you what they are doing and why they are doing it.

I will never use Wake Radiology again, and will never recommend them to any of my family or friends. Why? First, they are very expensive - $3000 for a head MRI! Second, they are very misleading about costs. I was told that the procedure was 'covered' by my insurance, only to find out later that it was only partially covered. When I asked for a cost adjustment, their billing department offered to put me on a payment plan. How gracious! Third, their MRI machine is old (I saw cracks and tape on it). And finally, I was treated like just another one of the many carbon units they probably see each day. Get'em in and out as quickly as possible so they can rack up as many fees as possible. Overall, a very unpleasant and expensive experience.

This was my third visit.  The first two were to do baseline and comparison. All, thankfully, went well. Excellent radiologists and staff. Only downside was a bit of a mix-up on my status--BUT, the scheduling staff called me back and cleared/corrected the error (initial communication from schedulers was that I needed a diagnostic, when I only needed the screening) immediately relieving me of any concerns.  I am sceduled to go back next year and will do so.  They are very thorough and use the most up-to-date equipment.

Easy to get appointment and they were on-time. The staff was very friendly and the doctor answered my many questions readily. I asked for my records about 6 months later and they were able to get them to me within a day! Excellent service.

They do mammograms, CTs as well as diagnostic radiology.  The people there were really nice and fair.  They take time to explain everything to me, and they make me at ease.

I absolutely cannot recommend the staff at this facility enough!   Everyone from the receptionist to the radiology technician who performed the mammogram was compassionate and sensitive to the patients.  During the mammogram, the radiology technician went to great lengths to put me at ease and perform the test in the most comfortable way possible.   I was very satisfied that the images taken were as clear as possible.  They provided images and findings to my doctor right away, and sent results to me in writing.

The main problems with this place are pain, bedside manner and lack of communication.  I give them a low grade because of those factors.
They schedule you an 1/2 hour before your exam apparently because their insurance forms take that long to fill out.  I noticed that my appointment time on the form was different from what I had written down.  Yet I waited about 45 minutes from when I got there.  When I went into the exam room, there were two technicians.  I am obviously disabled and have some problems with standing for long periods of time, but there was not a need for the second technician.  That person was only a danger to me because of the man-handling of me during the mammogram process.  There was no communication.  They did not ask me about my condition or what accommodations they could make.  Instead, they told me what to do and their machine stopped at the point when it was very painful.  I am used to mammograms and know when it should stop.  But their process does not allow for any feedback by the patient.  I was screaming in pain during the last x-ray.  This should not happen.  I would like this practice to stop doing painful examinations.
The two technicians man-handled me, pulled and tugged on me so that my shoulder was really bothering me.  They deserve an F in communication because there was none.  They never asked me what they could do to help the process.  They were in a rush.  They had me sit down for two x-rays but when I tried to get up and wanted to move the chair to avoid hitting my head on the machine, one of the gals held her foot in the way.  She did this on several occasions that prevented me from getting up or sitting down when I was supposed to be able to.  There was no communication.  I had to repeatedly ask the gal to move her foot.  The other gal during the examination pushed my head into the corner of the plastic guard so that my eye was almost poked.  I put my hand up to protect my eye from then on out.  They stood me up and started tugging on my shoulder and since my shoulder is dislocated, they really hurt me. I made a complaint with the College of Radiology because of the unreasonable pain.  The office must be used to people screaming because no one came to my aid.
They took four x-rays.  On the last x-ray, they put me into a position that may me holler and scream because it was tugging on my stomach skin.  Yet they were unconcerned about my comfort.  No one asked why I was screaming.  They only rushed to take the x-ray.  I stood there screaming the entire time.  There was no apology or nothing. I will NEVER go back to this place again and will probably not get a mammogram for a very long time because of this unfortunate experience.

I was overdue for my annual mammogram because I'd moved recently. I gave Wake Radiology a B for availability only because I had to have a local doctor to send the report to before they would take me, which meant finding and having an appointment with a gynecologist before my mammogram.  Once I'd been to the gynecologist, it was extremely easy to get an appointment, which certainly hasn't been my experience with previous radiologists in the Northeast.  I had to wait only a few minutes after I got there before the mammogram and, as these things go, it was fine.  They'd requested the films from my previous exams, and said they'd wait to read my current ones until the old ones arrived, which I appreciated, as it seems to me that they're really concerned about my past and ongoing breast health and not just churning out appointments.   I will return because the whole process went as easily as it's possible for mammograms to go.  Also, Wake Radiology provides digital mammograms, which I  prefer for accuracy.

Wake Radiology has been great. I went to see them about 2 months ago for a more detailed mammogram after I had discussed having pain in one breast when I was trying to set up my appoinment for the yearly mammogram. They took several slides of both breasts and had me wait and then I spoke to the physician reading the slides and she explained how she wanted to be safe. As it turns out, it was fibroid cysts and dealing with hormone shifts from menopause. I am grateful for their efforts and feel they go the extra mile to put their patients' minds at ease.

Wake Radiology (Cary Campus) was very flexible in scheduling the appointment. I could secure a weekend slot. Wait time wasn't long. Exam was surprisingly good. The request to get a copy of the exam on CD was promptly honored. Overall, a very nice experience.

When I went, it was great. Everyone was really nice and friendly. They got me in and out quickly. They tell you how the x-rays look before you leave because the doctors are very accessible. I would highly recommend the facility.
