Turftenders Landscape Services

Turftenders did an amazing job on our project from start to finish. They deservedly won the sizable job at our home after we were not comfortable with the initial feeling we got from several of their competitors. In the estimate and design phase, we really enjoyed working with Turftender's design team. They were responsive to our inquiry, on time for the appointment, open but helpful during the walkthrough, and timely and accurate in creating a design & estimate...even through a 2nd round of feedback when we realized our desire had exceeded our budget by a little bit. Entering the execution phase, their team was on-time and in-contact throughout the job. They were respectful of my neighbors (parking) and kept the job site clean between work days. Their craftsmanship is evident in that all the products look good and function well, and even when they made small mistakes (everyone does) they returned to address them appropriately (almost always they noticing them before I did). The job was complex, involving grading, plant selection and installation, masonry, drainage, lighting, and hardscaping. The crew was friendly with my Great Dane and with my family. Throughout our three week project (with more than a week of delays due to rain and snow) their execution project manager was in daily contact with me, and involved me in the near term planning. They were responsive and fair in pricing when we decided to change something we had originally requested at the start of the project. I'll admit their total project quote wasn't the cheapest, but I do not regret the price because I got even more than what I paid for. I'm writing this extended review because I recognize not all organizations are as professional and competent as Turftenders. Thank you, and we hope there are opportunities to do business with you again in the future.

From the very beginning, I was very comfortable with the owner, Steve, and his designer, Caitlin.  They really listened to what we wanted and produced professional blueprint of two designs for us to review and comment.  Steve was very good at explaining all aspects of the project.  Then the project began in September - who would have guessed that we would have had the rainiest Fall in the history of North Carolina.  Despite constant interruptions from rain, mud, and running water - the Turftenders crew did an outstanding job getting the project done to our specifications and we couldn't be happier with the results.  The Turftenders crew led by Allen was conscientious, courteous, friendly, punctual and hard working - we really enjoyed seeing and talking to them throughout the project.  We did run into some design adjustments during the job but the Turftenders crew quickly told us what our options were, a price for the changed work and seamlessly worked the change into their efforts without loosing time - a very professional group.  I would recommend Turftenders to anyone who is looking for a professional landscaping experience with complete satisfaction at the end of the effort.  Steve Hill and his Turftender crew are true pros.

Professional and communicative, pleased with the service.

They came out and they did exactly what they were supposed to do as they had promised. They did a good job. They were very professional. They did exactly what I asked them but they explained it very well what they were going to do and they let me inspect it out to make sure that I was okay with it. So, it went exactly how I thought it would go. I thought they did really well.

it took 3 man about 4 hours to complete the job.

The price was also half of a quote we had a year ago from another company. They are very on top of the ball and they are very courteous. They keep me apprised of everything. They are the only ones I've used. They put our original landscaping in 6 or 10 years ago. This is the first time I've had them back to prune it. I wouldn't have anybody else do it.

Very good job. We have employed them previously, also. Came back to make sure all was as expected and worked with us to do so.

I USUALLY USE THEM AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR TO DO SOMETHING IN THE YARD. I CAN TRUST THIS COMPANY TO DO A GOOD JOB. THEY WILL ALSO WORK WITH ME TO MAKE SURE THEY DO THE JOB RIGHT.
