I had a 35-year-old table lamp, one of a pair that I have had since setting up housekeeping. The socket was burned out and I took it to Thompson Lynch to repair. I thought I was going to have to leave the lamp and come back days later, but I caught the repairman at a good time and he fixed my lamp while I waited. My only complaint was that the repair cost more than my lamp is worth. But I have purchased beautiful lamps from Thompson Lynch and brought in many lamps for repair through the years. So many places that do lamp repair are no longer in business. I am very glad that Thompson Lynch in Cameron Village still provides this service.
