Jamal saved the day when the paint supplier sent the wrong color paint for some accents, he knew the vision I had and sorted it out with the paint supplier - that's the kind of team you want painting your house! I would recommend Jamal and his crew to anyone! Jamal spent a lot of time with us going over different options and helping us to select the best paint for our home. His knowledge, professionalism and personality was exceptional! They painted our entire first floor in two days (we have a large home). His crew was very kind and detailed. Not only did they do a beautiful job on the painting, but everything was cleaned up perfectly when they left. Jamal only uses the best paint products so he may not be the cheapest painter out there, but when it comes to a large investment, like your home, you want the best quality in paint and service! We are confident that we will not need to repaint for many, many years to come. From start to finish, it was our pleasure to work with him.

I am recommending this company to anyone thinking about having their house painted. Exterior or interior! The crew was very professional and good. They worked hard and smart! I was very impressed and highly satisfied with the work by Jamal and The Painting Company team on the painting of the exterior of my home. Jamal and crew paid attention to detail and worked with me to identify areas needing repair, suggested options as to quality and price of paints, and showed great care to move and protect items around my home as they worked. They even worked around a robin’s nest while Mama bird hatched and fed her babies! Their pre-painting preparation and post-painting clean-up reflected the care and quality of their work. I received quotes from multiple painting companies, and The Painting Company delivered the highest value and quality for the price. I would highly recommend The Painting Company, and would gladly contract them in the future.

This is the company you feel comfortable recommending to all your friends and family- Very professional popcorn removal and painting job. Also hired them for other odd job around the house because the price is right and they are completely trustworthy and friendly.

If you are looking for a fixed-price quote, this is NOT the company you will want to deal with. Jamal is highly arrogant and a fast talker. Understand that whatever [written] quote he provides you means absolutely nothing at all. He will find a reason [why] the amount previously quoted is not applicable to your job, SMH. Upon day one for work to be done, my husband did not like him (sensing a strong sense of arrogance in a bad way); but we were needing the interior painted promptly prior to moving in. Jamal brought in a crew of people (appearing to have picked them up off a corner for a day work). These people were not professionals and they showed no regard for our home. Paint droppings were later found throughout the home. I even caught one of the pregnant workers rinsing out her used paintbrushes in our [new] kitchen sink, SMH!! I mean, who does that, Really?! It was very hard for me to maintain decorum as I asked her why she was doing that and NOT to do that to take it outside; I was so annoyed. About 1-week after the entire project was completed, I discovered that our storm door was reinstalled incorrectly due to sudden difficulty in closing, to an inability to close altogether. I notified Jamal immediately only to be confronted with his denial of ever removing the storm door. I was appalled at his denial being that I totally recall seeing the storm door propped against my kitchen window (as I looked out the window). I lost all respect for Jamal at this point and found his response distasteful that he would attempt to deny his crew had in fact removed the storm door. Then, he lied saying he would come out to look at the storm door; and that never happened. I ended up paying a handyman company well over $100.00 in damages created by Jamal and his crew. The verdict I received from the handyman company was that the storm door had been improperly installed, causing the door to become misaligned resulting in a domino effect of damages. I was so upset that I sent Jamal a text message to the fact and all he could say is, This is your opinion that is fine. He continued to say that he stands behind his work which I find ridiculous considering the complaint I had brought to his attention. He is unprofessional, he lacks customer service skills, and his crew is the worse. I selected this company based on the large number of positive reviews here on Home Advisor; however, a positive experience is NOT what we received. As my son would say, Mommy, today must be the opposite day! We received the exact opposite of what was previously reviewed by other consumers. We WILL NOT use this company when we are in the market for home painting again. CONSUMER BEWARE.
