Sweep Away Cleaning

CLEANER PUT A HOLE IN MY FLOOR AND DAMAGED A HANDMADE CLOCK! Sweep Away Cleaning came to my house to clean in November, this was our first experience with them. From a cleaning perspective my house was very clean when she was done. Unfortunately, while cleaning the cleaner put a quarter sized hole in my kitchen floor (I assume while mopping) and a nick in a grandmother clock made by my father. When I realized this I immediately reached out to the owner, Stephen, to tell him the situation. He at first seemed very concerned, asked that I send him pictures, and we discussed options for how to go about a repair. When my husband and I decided to move forward with having their insurance company come out to see the damage and price the repair, I let Stephen know. That was back in November. I have reached out to Stephen via text (his preferred method of communication) and phone 3 or 4 times since then with no response at all. VERY DISAPPOINTING that there has not been any follow through with repairing the damage to my home by this company. I would not recommend anyone to use this company, not necessarily because of the damage- things happen, but because of the 2+ months of complete silence on repairing the damage from Stephen.

Josh and his crew do a good job.  I would (and probably will) hire them again.

Many things were not done that I would expect would have been done having paid 2 guys $40 each for the hour they were here. What was not accomplished: -counters not cleaned-microwave not cleaned-kitchen cabinet fronts not cleaned-stove top not cleaned-dining room not dusted-end tables in the living room not dusted -floors behind doors was not cleaned -no furniture in any room was moved to mop under it-dusted around knick knacks on tables-didn't dust off any shelf-an armoire that is 5' tall, was not dusted off on top-simply mediocre dusting throughout -master bedroom wood floors not cleaned-mop left streaks of dirt and a dull finish throughout rest of house-baseboards not cleaned-rug in office not vacuumed-desk was dusted in front of the keyboard, but no where else-master bath sink not cleaned-ceiling fan in 2nd bedroom not clean but the rest of them were-2nd bedroom not dusted-master bath shower walls not cleaned nor was the faucetI take part blame in not having a clear communication about expectations but for $75 for what I was told would be a 11/2-2 hour job, but I expected a better result. They were 30 minutes late and were "finished" in one hour(actually less if you count the time spent watering down their walmart brand cleaning products at the kitchen sink). They were lethargic and while one was mopping(using a swiffer type stick with dirty rags), the other leaned on the counter and watched.  When I contacted them, all they said was they did the shower and all the ceiling fans, didn't respond to the rest of my issues and told me that they weren't going to give me any refund (i asked for $40 back). Then they told me my house was filthy, which makes all of my friends whom I've told about this experience to laugh because they know my house is anything but filthy. The proper thing to do would be to apologize, refund or offer to return and do it again. Besides, how can anyone clean any house in 1 hour!!!
