About us
I, Jay Bourque, was born in Syracuse, NY, New Year's Day 1974. When I was fifteen I started push mowing lawns around the neighborhood. At sixteen I bought a run down vehicle and two $100 push mowers and went to work. While learning hands on and exceeding knowledge about my horticulture and the building of landscape structures etc. By the time I was eighteen I had five trucks and eight employees. After high school I continued to pursue my dream. I believe my career chose me. As the years went on, I continued to learn all the aspects of the field.

We are extremely disappointed with the service and work that was done. Although it was the cheapest bid at around $2,000, in the end it will cost more than the highest bid because we are paying another company about $1,500 to fix the work that was done which is already falling apart.
The list of complaints are many but here are the basics:
- He didn't install the edging that is required to keep the path intact so the pavers along the left and right edges of the path are starting to fall off.Overall it looks terrible (even our neighbor who usually holds his tongue commented) and has already started to deteriorate after 5 months. My husband was out of town and he (Jay, the owner) pressured me to pay him (so he could pay his workers) and like an idiot I did. I pointed out the chipped privacy screen before paying him and he promised to fix it the following week.
- They did a very poor job of edging the path up to the grass. The gap varies between 1 - 6" and they just filled it with fine gravel which looks terrible.
- The privacy screen they installed is and looks cheap and came with about a 6" chip missing from it when installed.
- Adding insult to injury, their truck left a huge oil stain in middle of our brand new driveway
We contacted him by email and phone to explain our complaints regarding the quality work and he eventually responded by email saying he would come by the following week. In spite of many unanswered phone calls and emails we never heard from him again.
I'm kicking myself for paying the guy. My husband is kicking himself for not finding the terrible reviews for this guy on Citysearch before he hired him.
