Mr. Bauer came out on a Sunday afternoon, after a late Saturday night alarm malfunction. (The alarm went off, in retrospect from on old wire, and the SSG night call person helped us temporarily deal with the situation until they could get out to repair it). He was able to diagnose and fix the problem and accommodated our time schedule. We've used their company for five years, since we moved to NC, and have always been extremely pleased.

Jack Bauer was helpful, professional, very reasonable and a delight to work with. He didn't try to oversell us, he just looked at our home, the location of our existing alarm equipment and made some recommendations for additional equipment that would give us peace of mind. His monthly service contract is significantly less than major competitors but we feel very safe using his firm.

Jack has always been very responsive when we have had questions or concerns about our system and is quick to respond when we need help.  We have had a blip or two in the system when to the power has gone out and he quickly walked us through fixing the problem or came out if we couldn't do it ourselves (this has rarely happened in the four years we have had the system).  We had more motion sensors and window sensors installed and the quick response time to get this done couldn't be beat.  The monitoring service matches that of the bigger companies at a fraction of the cost.  I can not say enough wonderful things about the peace of mind this service brings to me and I always know I can count on their customer service if I ever have an issue.

We've had Jack install/maintain a system at our previous home. He's highly professional and very knowledgeable; he was an obvious choice for our new home. Jack spent a great deal of time reviewing our needs and explaining options, especially with our desire for an interactive system to monitor/control all components remotely.



Installation went as planned. A crew of three did an outstanding job and capably handled any issues (cable run for keypad was difficult due to our preference of location). Training on new system functionality was complete and helpful; all follow-up questions quickly answered.



We won't hesitate to use Jack and his team again, and certainly recommend them to anyone in need of a complete (REAL) security system.

It was great working with Jack. I contacted Southern Security Group along with several other companies to provide a quote to install the cameras. Due to price and professionalism we chose SSG. Jack arrived with three of his technicians and performed a thorough evaluation of my house and spent several hours determining just how they would perform the work before drilling the first hole.
The technicians were very professional and made sure to not track any mud in from outside and protect the wood floors and walls as they ran their cables.
If I had to do it over again I would contact SSG again. When my security contract is up with my alarm company I plan to contact SSG to provide a price estimate on alarm monitoring.
