We were facing a leaking roof and a week of rain coming. I called around and no one could fit us in. Thankfully, Robert Paul Contracting was able to fit us in. They had a crew out to my house that afternoon. The guys were so kind and thorough! They identified and fixed the problems -- even providing me with before and after pictures to show their work. They were prompt and efficient. They saved us from having further interior damage. Robert Paul Contracting has my highest recommendation.

I contracted with Robert Paul Contracting earlier this year in January and again in September for a 2 phase whole home remodel. First phase was completed in Mid March this year for phase 1 remodel of upper floors in my home. I was most pleased with the service and quality of work and the fact that they finished a week ahead of schedule. Excellent work performed by all the crew members and I was most excited for phase 2 to begin in late August. Phase 2 was completed 3 days early . I'd say kudos to all members that provided high skill work in a custom remodel in my kitchen, basement and man cave garage. Most impressed with Bob the owner and his crew members they even went the extra mile as in when my moving people came in day after closing they sadly scuffed up wall paint and left a few marks on the trim which Bob's punch man came over on his day off on a Saturday to repair these issues at no cost as He said Company wanted a worry free job for the customer. Well said, I told him .I called Bob right away and thanked him for his guy and to give him a raise ! I look forward to hiring them again for other future projects ahead in near future. Most excellent people to work with and a true pleasure. !

We had a terrible experience with Robert Paul Contracting. We hired him for a full kitchen remodel and a full master-bathroom remodel. Bobby, the owner, failed to complete the project, walking away after months of delays and only about two thirds of the work done, having paid him over 85% of the quoted amount. He has refused to pay us back for the incomplete work. We were forced to hire another contractor to repair low quality work and to complete the work that Bobby failed to finish. Our experience started off well. Bobby was very responsive and seemed confident in what he was doing. However, after multiple incidents and mistakes, both small and large, it was clear that Bobby was more concerned about covering himself than making things right. He was dishonest with us about the costs of our countertops, he completely mismeasured our kitchen which caused a huge error and delay in our cabinets and he refused to meet with us to discuss these issues. His paint job was of such low quality that we had to pay to have the entire house repainted. Overall, his conduct was beyond unprofessional and borderline illegal. It all culminated when he quit on our job, mid-project, walking off with money for poor quality work and for services not yet rendered. When hiring a contractor, it is important you get someone you can trust. Unfortunately, Bobby failed that test.

"We apologize for your negative experience with your remodel. Of course, during a global pandemic, there were setbacks with crews and subcontractors falling ill, material costs, material availability, and materials on backorder (including the vanity you selected) but this, of course, was something no one could have predicted. During these unprecedented times, our company made every effort to continue operating as normal as possible, while also trying to keep people safe. Personally, I did try to limit my in person contact with customers because of my high-risk, pregnant wife. This did not mean, however, that I was not available via text, phone and email. And, you certainly did contact me via those means including text messages at 1:00am and calls on weekends and holidays. And, as you thanked me for several times, I always responded very promptly to your questions and concerns. Until he fell ill and was unable to work for an extended period of time, the foreman assigned to manage your project met with you in person quite frequently and would also take your texts, calls, and emails. Note, delays in projects also occur with work order changes. After building the center island to your specs, you asked us to tear it down and rebuild it. Which we did, but this of course setback the timeline. You wanted to make sure that the paint job was to your standards before your carpet was installed, so we did several walkthroughs with you and your husband to look specifically at the paint job. You had approved this work. I haven’t walked away from a project in my 20 year career, but after you verbally harassed me and cursed me out, paid my subcontractors directly behind our company’s back, and made it quite challenging to get subcontractors to your project after treating them as if they were beneath you, we were left with little choice. Further, with an estimated $12,000-$14,000 left owed on your project, and your refusal to make a partial payment, we could not risk providing anymore services if you did not pay."

Bob's responsiveness and professionalism were top-rate. His crews were excellent. Good communicators, high quality workmanship; price very fair. Bob did work for us in April and May of 2019. We bought an 1800sqft townhouse that needed ceiling and wall repair and paint. In the downstairs, there was a mix of carpet and hardwood. The carpet was removed and hardwood feathered in; old hardwood stripped and all finished. The result was amazing- beautiful finish that is holding up great with two dogs in the house (one 90lbs)

The work took longer than expected but mostly due to unforeseen circumstances. Robert Paul Contracting also wanted to ensure everything was done well and perfectly, not rushed.

Bobby and his team did a great job. They were on time for appointments and work days. They got the job completed ahead of schedule and for the agreed upon price. Bobby was available to answer questions and did a great job of keeping us informed with progress updates. He even helped us when talking with our insurance agent and we were able to get everything covered by insurance. I would highly recommend Robert Paul Contracting for a home repair job.

Out of all of the contractors I have worked with, Robert Paul Contracting was the most proactive and organized. Where some contractors will not return calls, Robert Paul always communicated in a timely manner and provided options on pricing and scheduling. Combining prompt service, with quality work make this company my go-to contractor for future projects.

Very well. Bob very particular about pricing everything out in advance, which is very different from another contractor who has done work on this house. This is upper end home in great neighborhood of Raleigh.

I would highly recommend Robert Paul Contracting! They were extremely helpful in getting my home ready for market. I had a major remodel in the kitchen and master bath, and they added an inlaw suite above the garage. I was so pleased with the results. Bob, the owner, was great! He was super helpful throughout the entire process. His crew was great and came in on time and on budget.

Found Robert Paul Contracting on Yelp. They responded to my request for a quote within 24 hours. They were able to come out and give an estimate the next day. Bob took his time and actually looked at the mitigation work that had been done as opposed to others who just did a quick estimate. Work was completed the Monday after the estimate. Repairs were very good and look great. Would definitely recommend.
