I used Proshred's weekday drop-off service, and the process couldn't have been easier. As soon as I pulled up, a Proshred technician helped me unload my boxes and dumped the contents into a bin for weighing — this took less than 5 minutes. Shredding was complete before I'd finished paying for the service. All in all, I was there for maybe 10 minutes. Great experience, and I'll definitely use their service again.

Just fine - drive in (only on Fridays), they load the bin with your paper, dump it in the shredding truck and 10 minutes later pay your bill ( just .30cents a pound) and you are done. Very efficient and quick - would recommend Proshred in Raleigh any time!

I spoke with the owner, Carrie and she was very helpful. She told me I could take my boxes to the Memo Court location. When we drove up, the attendants directed us where to pull up. After opening the lift gate on our vehicle, the attendants began unloading the documents from the boxes into the type of trash dumpster you have at home. Then they wheeled that onto a scale and told me the weight. The dumpster was placed in the receiving device of the shred truck and emptied. The documents were shredded as they entered the truck. I went into the office and told the woman there the weight and she figured my cost, after deducting the weight of the dumpster, itself. Very easy and very efficient! I highly recommend them!

It went great. A gentleman met outside and asked if I needed shredding. I said yes and he wheeled over a large bin and transferred the paper from the trunk of my car into the rolling bin. He then weighed the bin, loaded the bin into the shred truck and showed me the video screen where I watched my papers get shredded. He then told me the weight to tell the person inside. The person inside subtracted the weight of the bin and I paid via credit card, less than $16 for 52 lbs of paper. Everyone was very polite. I was in and out less than 10 minutes. Highly recommended.

ProShred offers a Friday-afternoon drive-up service for document shredding. What's great about that: there's no minimum volume, and their shredding prices are substantially lower than for premium services that can include shredding at your site. I watched my documents being uploaded into the hopper of ProShred's industrial shredder mounted inside a large truck. Powered by the truck's beefy engine, the shredder always wins! I met the ProShred General Manager, Jim Klemes - a cheerful guy. I will definitely take my documents there in the future for shredding as needed. It was surprisingly fast and economical.

I have used them twice for personal papers. They charge by the box (more or less the size you buy a full box of copy paper in).
You can deliver to their office on Fridays. This time they had a truck
of the type they use for on-site shredding. They shredded the materials
while I watched. I paid. I left. Easy.

The ProShred truck showed up 40 minutes later than scheduled, but the driver did call at about the appointment time to let me know that his previous job was taking longer than anticipated. The process was very quick and smooth, taking about 10 minutes. My papers filled about 1/2 of one of their 96 gallon bins; I thought that the driver said something about charging me only half when he saw how much I had. However, I was charged the full amount, and the office was very clear that $120 was their minimum charge when I called to ask them about it. While that's a bit disappointing, I had been expecting the $120 charge (I thought I had a lot more paper to shred than it turned out), so I can't really complain about anything except having my hopes raised by the driver (and there's a fair chance that I simply misunderstood what he said). So the service is a bit pricy, but they definitely get the job done in a timely manner.
I asked the driver for a receipt (all he gave me was a work order copy); he said that the office would email the receipt to me later. When I hadn't received a receipt after 3 days, I called the office to ask when I could expect to receive it. I was told that they didn't have my email address, so they hadn't sent me one. While I don't doubt that they didn't have my email address if they said they didn't, they most certainly had my phone number (as the driver had used it), so they could have called to ask for my email address. I thought that was a less-than-optimal way of doing business--either ask me for my email address when I make the appointment or call me to get it when you realize that you don't have it. Not a huge deal, as I was able to straighten it out with a single phone call, but still not the kind of service I expected for the price they charge.
Would I recommend ProShred? Yes, if scheduling convenience is more important to you than pricing (as was the case for me, this time around).

The cost depends on how many bales you have. I am very pleased. I will be calling them again. They are in the area every two weeks and they said that they could not really give me a specific time but the day before they would call me and tell me the time range they would be here and then the driver would call me about thirty minutes or so before he got here. I did not get the day before phone call but he did call me thirty minutes before he got here and when he got here he was prompt, efficient and very friendly. I think that their price is pretty reasonable.
