I should note that this provider is not within close proximity to my home so that is the primary reason I would not use again. The provider's office is kind of shabby looking but if you're looking for small engine or power equipment repair you're not likely going to be swayed by that sort of thing. The man that waited on me was the owner and I believe one of his employees just quit so he was rather overwhelmed. This was likely the reason I waited longer than promised for the quote on the chainsaw. I cannot speak to his actual ability on repairs as he recommended I not repair the chainsaw (it was quite old & in a lot of disrepair) as it would be more costly to repair than to purchase a new one. All in all, a good guy w/ a good business. If I lived in the area I would consider him again. The estimate itself was ~ $35.

Have used this shop several times for sharpening services. I now have a Toro Timemaster which is a dual bade mower. I removed the blade and took it by the shop, and the tech on duty offered to sharpen it while I waited. So I shopped in the hardware store for about 10 mins and then picked up the blade. Nice clean edge and I tested them this afternoon to confirm balance. Everything as expected. Only aggravation is that now there is tax charged for this service, but that certainly isn't the fault of this shop! I will be using them again in the future.

Service was great. They have a friendly person to handle the equipment drop off. I asked to be called about the cost to repair whatever was making the unusual noise that we were hearing. They did call and indicated that the problem was minor.  Got the mower back the next day. Could not have asked for a better experience.  I will definitely use them for service in the future.

I have a DR brush mower and when I removed the blade to flip to a new cutting surface this weekend (it's a dual surface blade), I could not replace the nut that I had removed.  The threads on the upper 1/2" of the spindle assembly were worn/damaged by the removal process.  I purchased a new lock nut and tried to get it threaded but no luck.
I stopped by Precision Outdoor Power Equipment (POPE) and asked if they could get the nut started with their impact wrench.  The tech worked with it a bit but he also could not get it to thread.  So, he suggested re-threading the spindle to clean up the threads.  For some reason, I had not even considered this as an option so I am glad that he suggested it.  The shaft was a 5/8" - 18 size, and POPE didn't have a die that size, so they stepped into the hardware store next door and bought one.  
A few mins later, the spindle threads were cleaned up and the bolt was reinstalled.  The charge seemed a bit high at $25, but considering the die was $19 I guess it's not so bad overall (although I didn't get to keep the die!).  Tech was courteous and was able to look at the mower deck when I brought it in, so that was greatly appreciated since I needed to use it the day it was repaired.

Turned in mower on a Monday and was not told how long it would take saying they would call me.  After a week I called and was told they had a 3 week backlog.  I was told to call back at the end of two weeks and they would have a better idea. When I called at the end of two weeks, I was told it wouldn't be fair for me to get mine earlier.  It was EXACTLY 3 weeks to the day that I got the call to pick up my mower.  The cost seems high to install a cord and do general maintenance.  Charge of $12 for shop supplies- what is that for? When I got home, I noticed that one of the front wheels had chipped off and wondered why they didn't bother to call and suggest I replace those especially if it chipped off while in their possession.  I will most certainly do that repair myself.

I bought a Tanaka string trimmer.  Jeff filled it with gas, showed me how to run it, recommended some engineered fuel and provided me a tip about keeping the string supple and not brittle. I have used him before to repair the old string trimmer and i find him very nice, knowledgeable and professional,  He also does not condescend to me because I am a woman which I really appreciate because I have gotten that treatment at other places like this (eg Right of Way). This string trimmer has a 7 yr warranty and all the warranty work can be done there.  Its just so nice to have someone explain the machine to me, tell me how to take care of it and then will service it too. Just a great little shop and courteous, knowledgeable staff.
