Excellent service. Always on time. Never have to watch him to make sure the job is done correctly. Everyone in the neighborhood has commented on his work when he has done the outside painting. He also has a good sense of color, so will let you know the shade made not be what you want (i.e. go one shade lighter or darker) depending upon the lighting in the room or sunlight. In my case, trying to find the correct shade of yellow to paint the outside of the house. I didn't want the house to look like a huge yellow post-it, so he directed me to the several shades to choose from. Straightest paint lines I have ever seen.

Response from OLDE TYME PAINTING
"All I can say is wow. This report is false from every aspect. To start with, the homeowner wanted to keep the dollar amount to under $1100.00. With materials it came to $1183.00, not $1800.00. Second, as far as the unpainted shelves, the bid was to only fix the shelving that was damaged by an aquarium. which was done. In order to paint all the bookcases and mantel it would have been an additional $250.00, which he didn't want to spend. I did numerous drywall repair, including nail pops and over 200 holes from children and adult poster and picture hangings. If any was missed I certainly would have came back to fix them, free of charge but was never notified of anything. I also want to note that the house was full of trash, water bottles, food, wrappers etc. the whole house looked like it hadn't been clean in a year or more. We made sure to put all furniture back in it's original space after we swept and discarded any trash. I never had such a negative response to any of my work in the 37 years that I have been doing this. I just wish that if there was a problem that I could have had a chance to right any so called wrongs. d"

I really liked them. They were neat, showed up on time, did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. I liked that English is a first language for them. Steve, the owner, has been painting for a long time, and I feel that he really knows a lot about paint, color mixing and so forth. I was doing some patch painting of my moldings because my house is 13 years old. I have white paint, and since it ages, they helped me figure out what I could add to it to get an exact match of the aged paint, so I did not have to paint everything. They were able to help me go to the paint store and have them mix it appropriately to get the exact match. I used them in the summer and had them over again yesterday. The touchup painting was $75 and the bathroom was another $75. I had to pay for the cost of the paint on top of that. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

The price was reasonable for the size of house we have. We know the owners so that is why we chose them. He is very professional and we never had an issue with them. He does the work carefully in a reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable price. We are thinking about having them come back out to paint the house again.

Steve did an excellent job with all the wallpaper removal and painting, and he kept to his estimate, even when some of the wallpaper removal ended up being much more difficult than expected (wallpaper put up on plain, unpainted drywall). His paint edges are always very smooth, and his clean-up is always good and thorough.

This was one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor. Steve is pleasant to work with, cleans up after himself, is on time and completes the job when he says he will. All of these, in my experience are unusual behaviors for many contractors. His work is meticulous. Also, he answers questions intelligently and is not patronizing when doing so. A neighbor is now having him paint her house based on seeing the work he did on mine. I had heard about Steve from a co-worker. I think much of his work may be word of mouth which is always as good sign. I graded the price as a "B" only because I did not really check for other estimates. So, I'm not sure how his price compares to other painters.
