Start with the good. Jonathon's price seemed reasonable and he weeded well. Now the bad. His quote was very vague. When I asked him to be more specific he did and the price went up. As he was installing the plants, flowers, and shrubs, he did not clearly have enough and wanted more money. Even though he did a site visit before the quote. The flowers, plants, and shrubs he planted are okay but seems to me to be a little amateurish. He did fine laying the mulch. Here is the big kicker. Clean up and removal of the old railroad ties was clearly stated in our contract. Rather than do this Jonathan put the railroad ties behind my fence and I did not see them right away. When I saw them about a week later I called Jonathon and he said he would come and remove them. 3 times he has told me the day he would pick them up and 3 times he was a no show. Not once did he even give me a courtesy call to let me know he was not coming. When I contacted him it was excuse after excuse every time. The last time he texted me "I'm not going to forget you". Well he did. As of writing this it has now been almost 6 weeks since the work was completed yet the trash is still here. Now I am going to have to pay someone else to remove this trash. There were also other small things listed in the quote I realized later he did not complete. This is my first experience with Angie's List and it did not go well. My advise is stay away from NCVA Landscaping.
