I got there a few minutes late, but called ahead of time to see if I should reschedule because I was running about 20 min behind. They said to come on in, there would't be much of a wait. I didn't mind waiting as they were accommodating me. Shortly after I arrived, they took my car back to the garage. I waited, and waited... 3 hours my car was STILL not done. They told me that the car inspector was running behind a little. I told them I could reschedule and was reassured that it would be just a few more minutes. After another 1 1/2 hours my car was done. There was also a promotion for a rebate that I never received - just icing on the cake!

They were prompt in getting the car back into the service dock, but the car was not completed until about 45 minutes past the projected completion time. The alignment was more than expected due to the need for an additional part that was ot mentioned until car was up on racks - not that the part was faulty - just that it was an older (antique car) and I felt they should have known about it up front.

I made an appointment to have my oil changed and it STILL took them an hour and a half to do it. Too long in my opinion.

They have done good work. They have done what they said they were going to do. One of the more recent things that they did, I did feel like they were charging me more. I paid them more than I was expecting. They showed me a charge table that showed that amount, but I knew I hadn't paid that much before. It was just getting the lubrication, they charged me like $39 or something, and I thought it would be like $19. I didn't have the coupon. I had done enough with them that I was surprised that they charged me that much for that particular piece of work. The quality of work has been fine. At least I know I will get the job done, if I go there. I will just dig in for a coupon before I walk in there.

Merchant's is always courteous, allows me to bring my dog with me while I wait, doesn't keep me waiting long, and gives me good prices. They've even done a patch or two for free probably because I'm such a loyal customer with such frequent patching needs. They never try to upsell me on things I don't need, which I probably appreciate more than anything else.

Even though I recently had my brakes done, I went ahead and paid $22 for a full brake inspection because I wanted to be sure there was nothing else going on with them. Tony came back and told me that the pads were brand new and that it may just be the types of pads used that caused the squealing, but they looked fine otherwise. He also said that my tires had plenty of tread, were in good shape and were just wearing unevenly causing the additional noise I heard. Rather than try to sell me a tire, he suggested I wait and see if it wears any worse and causes any vibration or shimmying before I change it for a new one. I appreciated the honesty and the service.

They have the most excellent customer service. Everybody has been very friendly, very honest and very helpful. Their prices are reasonable. They are very efficient with regards to the time and about how quickly they get the things done. I have never had even one little problem with them. However, it is just one person and it is not their overall company. They are the only place that I go for my car. I recommended them two weeks ago. Basically, they are the best place around if you need to get your vehicle fixed quickly. I think our store is probably a little more unique in terms of their customer service and I think that they are great. I can only speak for our specific area and not the overall company. I have probably had two different people that I recommended and I had my friends go there. They have always had the same experience that I have had.

They have a chain of service centers but the local one here seems to do a good job. They do a real good job. I would continue to use them.

I scheduled an appointment for 2:00 and arrived about 10 minutes early. Routine oil change with tire rotation. Waited in line about 15 minutes, and the manager on duty (Tony) was clearly ending his shift, judging by his body language. I asked for a time estimate (which I had also asked over the phone), and he replied "about an hour." It took them an hour and a half to do the job, which seemed a bit long in my opinion. Again, routine stuff. I've always thought Merchant's does nice work at a reasonable cost. Unlike others I've used, this one seemed slower than average. Also, the place was on the dirty side. Especially the bathroom. And I'm a guy (which means I have slightly lower standards than my wife!). All in all, not disappointed, nor impressed.
