I called the NC Licensing Board about this company. It is not licensed to do HVAC in NC. What does this mean? Danny May cannot legally do any ducting or wiring work for any HVAC job in the state. Only a licnsed contractor can legally do that. Additionally, only a licnsed contractor can offer an installation warranty so that if anything fails with the product while under warranty, the cost of the labor for this repair or replacement is covered. Danny May tried to install 3 Santa Fe dehumidifers (2 used used a Honeywell thermostat as the controller). He could not even do the basic wiring to connect the controller to the Dehumidiers. Additionally, he incorrectly installed the ducts on one (did it in the reverse order) so that I needed two service calls to licensed contractors to correct the problems he caused. The duct configuration options and recommendations were written in the Installation Guide which he could not bother to read. Hire at your own risk.

Danny was one out of only two HVAC service professionals who was willing to install a dryer vent through our roof (about 14 up from the unit).  All of the others were either too busy with air-conditioning or the job was too small or just not interested.  Our dryer was barely working as it was being vented from a second floor laundry room to the crawl space then across it (almost 40 ft).
Danny came quickly, sized up the situation, asked for some money for parts and completed the job that same day.  I asked him afterwards to come back and enlarge the hole he cut through one of the shelves so that the pipe could be more flush to the wall and did so the following day without any additional charges. 
The dryer is back to its superlative self.  Need I say more?
