"We regret this member found our service less than satisfactory. However, our records indicate the service was provided in 2013, not 2014. We have been working our quality and consistency in the 2 years since this customer had us in their home. We believe we have made improvements in those areas."
"Maid Brigade of Raleigh has never provided service to anyone by this name or at the address listed."
"Our ability to service homes at competitive pricing requires our employees to service more than 1 customer per day. Finding other customers with the correct size service and travel distance to fill the holes in order to meet very specific arrival requirements at another customer is not always easy or even possible. If you must be at home when we provide service and you have a small window in which we can arrive, we will likely have trouble meeting your expectations. However, we do offer some flexibility and will try to work within your requirements as best we can. We obviously could not satisfy this member but we have many other customers with whom we've had better success."
"We appreciate the feedback and thank this member for their comments. However, our current rates are $38/maid/hour and so $76 for a 2 maid team (not $85 as the member indicated). We do insist on a minimum of 2 maids so safety and security purposes. A 2 maid team is also more efficient than a single person in most cases anyway."
They also used our own personal cleaning products, paper towels, and trash bags to clean our house.
They pulled an 8yo bottle of Orange Mop-n-Glow out of the back of our cabinet and smeared it on our hardwood floors without rinsing it off, damaging the finish.
When I discussed these concerns with the owner, he initially agreed to a full refund on the services. But after a couple of days he emailed me asking for 50% of the total fee which I agreed to. He also confirmed that his staff had admitted to rummaging through our cabinets and using our supplies for the cleaning service.
He claims this was a rare occurence, but I know this happened to us many times before - we noticed that our trash bags were being used by the staff and our cabinets seemed rearranged frequently, but never had hard proof until this happened.
This was very disappointing to us, because we had specifically stressed the importance of staying out of our cabinets and using eco-friendly cleaning products. The cleaning product that they used from our cabinet was definitely not green and we had not used it for years.
I would not recommend this company. There are a lot of other companies out there who understand the importance of trust.
He broke our trust multiple times:
- by going through our cabinets
- by not using eco-friendly products
- by using our own supplies (paper towels, trash bags, etc) to finish the job
- by going back on his verbal agreement for a full refund.
I have paid him in full for the "services" he gave us and I hope that everyone else reads this review carefully and understands the risks before letting this man's company into their home.
"We were notified by this member that cleaning supplies from his home were used on the last occasion we provided service. He was clearly upset that our employees violated their personal space and went into his cabinets. He immediately canceled his service and demanded a 100% credit for the service we provided. We agreed to a discount and investigated the matter. The cleaning team had inadvertently left a bucket of their cleaning supplies in the previous customer's home and were short of the products they needed to perform the chores when they arrived. They were trying to provide the service and made a poor decision. One for which they were properly reprimanded. Our normal procedures call for providing all cleaning supplies at no cost to the employees or customers. I had a follow up exchange with the customer in which he readily agreed to pay for 50% of the labor we provided on the final occasion. He explained the credit card we used was no longer valid and he would mail payment. This was over 2 months ago and no payment was ever received. We have attempted to contact him several times but there was no response. We regret the actions of our employees on this occasion and we offered our sincerest apologies to this customer. We thought we arranged a mutually agreeable settlement but the customer did not follow through with his agreement to pay. He has indicated that payment has been remitted and we accept him at his word."
