Not good..in the beginning the floor was not laid straight, wrong color flooring, dark brown boards laid within the honey boards and now all boards are squeaking. We received rude customer service from the owners.
Response from Lee's Hardwood Floors Inc
"Hello Horans. Glad to see you are doing well and still at it! First off this is the wrong catagory we do hardwood floors not carpet cleaning ;). I would definitely get with the builder on the squeaky subfloor. Hardwood floors don’t squeak the subfloor does. As I recall we did this insurance job for a builder not you, the builder signed off on all work done including the floor grade and color. Wood is a natural product of nature and is variable. I have not seen one picture in any of your many posts on the multitude of places you have posted your “opinion” over the last 4 years to show the “horrible” job we did. Please note that you have never contracted with our company to do any work of any kind and have never paid our company one penny. The work was approved and paid for 100% by the builder as a job well done. Your expectations after your home flooded were set with the builder and he approved our work. We did our best to discuss your unreasonable expectations and even let you and your wife sit in our showroom full of customers and show yourself like a 2 year old pitching a fit. You have harassed us and we have let it go. You are welcome to continue, that can be your right. But know that most people see right through your posts. We are still in business and even doing work in your neighborhood. Have a truly great day. Stay in touch!! :)"

I just had Lee's Hardwood Floors replace the carpet in our master bedroom with hardwood floors to match the hardwoods in the rest of our downstairs. They did a wonderful job. In order to best match the other rooms, the floors needed oil based poly vs water based. Their team of workers is very professional, shows up to work as expected and is meticulous in their work. I was very pleased with the process, from my original appointment with Daniel to discuss the project, to the scheduling with their office, to the installation with their work crews. They seem to have a very effective team to meet the needs of their customers. I appreciate how easy they made the process and I would certainly hire them again for future work.

I had originally picked another company to work with but that fell through. I wanted brazilian walnut flooring which is expensive. I googled brazilian walnut and found Lee's flooring then checked them out on Angie's List and found good reviews. I had a good feeling about the rep that came to do the estimate. As it turned out they had an estimate that fit my budget so I went with them. There guys arrived when they said they would and they did a great job. I was very happy with Lee's and would use them again.

I had received 3 quotes for a medium size project and choose Lees Hardwood Floors.. I made my choice based on the professionalism of the visit, the expertise offered to make sure the job was done well and for the extra advise to help the make the floors as nice as possible. The cost was slightly more but it was worth it in the long run! The job went very well with just a few minor problems. As soon as I expressed concern there was a plan in place with dates and times to correct the issues. I did not have to worry about the result or if dealing with any staff was difficult. Its' a solid company that does what they say they will do! Unusual for today's service industry.

This was the third job they did for us. I think we got the "b" team this time. We had two issues with this project. First, I had discussed with their project manager, Jeremy, how we wanted to handle two thresholds between adjoining rooms. That was not translated to the installers, who did it differently. When I confronted the installers the next day, I was told they could try to revise it, but they could not guarantee how it would come out. I told them I wanted to talk to Jeremy ASAP. That never happened. Second, after the finish coat, you can now see all the overlap marks from the staining process. The floor does not look uniform, and this did not happen with either of the previous jobs. Not their best work, and the only solution would be to re-sand the entire floor, etc. Very disruptive.

It went very well...the workers were very nice and knowledgeable...very careful about the walls and woodwork when removing old floors and installing new...2 areas I wasn't happy with they came back and corrected right away and did a great job! Very professional from the estimate thru the instillation! I would definitely recommend Lee's!

This company (and Jeremy, in particular) was a pleasure to work with. We had them install roughly 1200 square feet of pre-finished, engineered hardwood floor on a slab foundation. From initial contact, to sales, to installation, to completing the final punch list, they made quality a top priority and ensured that the work was done in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend them to friends and family and would certainly hire them again in the future.

Job was completed on time as promised and overall we are VERY happy with the results. We did find a little "chip" in the newly installed hardwood and we spoke to the crew and then the office to inquire about how to fix this. The next day they showed up and repaired the chip and it looks flawless . There were also some minor nicks to the wall which they spackled (but not painted as per their waiver which we signed) and I totally understand this minor damage happening since they were working in a narrow stairwell.

I was not happy with them. They got stain on all of my baseboards on the first floor and I had to paint them. That was not acceptable. I would not use them again. The price was fair and good. They were very professional but the work wasn't good. They should have protected my baseboards and told me ahead of time. I expected a little bit of stain on some baseboards, but I had to paint all of them in the basement. They got it on the door frame as well. I had to pay someone to do that. They were fast, they did it while we were on vacation. That was nice.

I have not used another vendor for hardwood installation, so I have nothing to compare it to from an overall quality perspective.  Overall we are happy with the job and the ultimate outcome - but there were some bumps in the road.
Kudos to Todd, Romeo and his partner (I wish I could remember his name - I think it was Richard) for showing pride and quality in their work and attention to detail.  Todd installed our new treads on our stairs and his woodworking skills were top notch.   Romeo and his partner saved us from what could have been a horrible stain matching experience as well as going above and beyond to repair some of the mistakes made by previous crews with the pre-finished installation.   I would give them "A" ratings on all accounts, but since I have to rate everyone on an average scale, I gave the entire project a B rating.
Outside of these star performers, I do feel that this company could have done a better job from a services perspective.  They provide very little communication regarding their process.  My job took a full week but not once did anyone make a pro-active call to inform me when workers would arrive, what would be happening that day (outside of a punch list sheet I received at contract signing) or to confirm I was satisfied with the quality of the work.  On a daily basis I had to email or call their offices with my questions and concerns. Some days crews would come early, then later in the day, etc..... I was home waiting and had no idea when to expect people.   The other issue is that they sent different people almost every day.
I'm happy that at least all of the issues we reported were promptly addressed without conflict.  If I could offer one suggestion to this company is that they should have a single job leader that sticks with the project from start to finish, reviews the work of others and communicates daily with the homeowner regarding what is happening and what to expect.   If they would add this small change to their structure, I think they would have a lot more success with less customer issue.
Another reviewer noted their extremely wordy protection waiver that you must sign.  I too agree this is also off-putting as a customer.  It almost gives the crew free reign to damage whatever they want and know they won't be responsible.  While we knew that Lee's did not do the painting work for the risers and shoe molding - we didn't realize how much painting we'd have to do after they left because of all the knicks and scratches done to our walls during the installation process.   We also found stains on our stair rails (which are not being replaced) where they dripped the stair tread stain which was a different color.  Again, some employees were more careful then others about cleaning up after themselves and not dripping stain, etc... while others seemed to not be as careful.  There were times when tape or a drop cloth should have been used and they were not.
Overall the job came out well and all issues found along the way were fixed, the price was higher than we would have liked, but we did appreciate the quality work done by some of their crew members to ensure we ultimately were happy with the final result.

I got a competitive quote from Lee's for removing carpets and installing new hardwoods in a living room, hall, and foyer, and finishing the hardwood treads on stairs.  Their contract was specific, and they performed a stellar job on time and on budget.  My floors are beautiful!

I received 3 quotes, and Lee's was the highest by far.  But our interior designer said that Lee's was the ONLY group that she would recommend, and their reviews were great overall.  I wanted it done right by a professional group, and that's exactly what we got.  They were extremely professional and did an outstanding job.  The cut no corners and made sure that we were entirely satisfied with their work.  We would recommend them highly.
