We ended up not really needing their services. We realized it after they got out. It wasn't great. I didn't pay more than the "Big Deal." They were very helpful and they told us we could replace it easily. They were less helpful and they knocked off the molding off of one of our attic incenses. The way they put it back up was sloppy.

I paid the $39 and then was told, by Lanier, the offer was sold out.  I don't know if Angie's List kept my money or if Lanier kept my money but no service was performed.  I am now very skeptical of Angie's List's offers and tend to ignore them.  I am definitely not going to use Lanier since they didn't even try to get my money back and don't seem to know how to work their promotions.  Shame on both Angie's List and Lanier.

Helped install a bathroom fan that was a bit tricky, he took it apart and really knew what he was doing.  I will call him for our next electrical project!

Quick.  Knew what to do and had the part.

I had purchased this deal to have two electrical runs done from ceiling fans to the outlet area.  Upon explaining what I wanted done, he seemed less than interested and would contact me to set up a time.  After a week, I called him again and was told that he was dealing with some emergency work and would again call me back.  I never heard again.   From what it seems, I'm not the only one who had issues with him.

It went very well. They were accomodating of my schedule, very helpful and friendly. Worked quickly and efficiently

It went absolutely impeccable, came the same day I called him. Work ethic was impeccable and would recommend him to anyone, very friendly and knowledgeable.

The service turned out very nice. He was a polite and knowledgeable gentleman. He came in, did his job, cleaned, and had an assistant with him. I love him. The service was only done yesterday, but it was not because of him; it was because of my own schedule. He was nice enough to cancel several times as I could not accommodate the schedule for him to come in. Yesterday, we were both in the same page. He kept on following-up with me telling me that he was available whenever I need and yesterday, I was home. He came by and took care of it. There were no additional charges to the $39 big Deal. It took them only a few minutes or maybe half-an-hour. I have contacted him for installing a ceiling fan, but I am definitely going to contact him later on for additional electrical work that I have in my home. I purchased the ceiling fan and I have nobody to install. So when I saw the Deal, I contacted him. The ceiling fan is working very well. It was a very good experience. I have nothing bad to say about him. I asked him how much he normally charged and it was less than what I had asked from two other electricians.

They did the work.  We asked them to come back out and fix something and they came back out.

Went very well.  Mr Lanier clearly understood what needed to be done to safely and properly connect the gas.  The shut-off behind the stove did not begin the gas flow to the stove.  Mr Lanier found another shutoff installed near the meter when the line for the stove was installed.  
After the stove was working, I asked him to install the (small / non-crystal) chandelier and take down the 1960's medicine cabinet which had a 4-light light bar across the top.  Mr Lanier completed both of these projects quickly for a total of $50. 
I will definitely use him again.

Excellent! He was fast and very friendly.  I wish that he did not drill up one side of the cabinet and put the outlet on the other side, because I now have limited space for storage.  Overall he did an excellent job and I am very satisfied.

The guy was very nice and I would use them again. The deal did seem a little vague for what was covered in the $39.00.

It was disappointing.  It may not have been his fault.  But I thought by the ad that I would get three ceiling sconces hung in my kitchen for what I already paid to Angie's List.  I contacted himmafter her emailed me.  He said he was busy and I was relly in no huge hurry so I said I could wait until the following week.  The next week, he said he would come on a certain day but I never heard back.  The next day I called him again and he and I set a date which was today.  Today, he arrived at the expected time.  Both of the gentlemen who came were very nice and polite.  I explained that I had purchased three small ceiling sconces to hang in my kitchen above a small table.  We talked about how it could be done, wired, they went up into my attic and scoped it out.  They had me draw out how it would be set on my ceiling.  They spent time assessing what they would need to do.  As they were telling me how complicated it was going to be, I asked how much additionally was it going to be.  He said he would figure that out before he did any work.  He was very nice and professional about the whole thing.  After about 45 minutes total, he said it would be an additional 235.00 to complete the job.  That is in addition to the 39.99 I spent which was supposed to be 135.00 value which means to hang three sconces and tie them into a light switch I already had, it would have been about 370.00 total.  I had already priced that job out with another electrician and it would have cost in the lower 200s.  So, I thanked them for looking at it and told them that was more than I could spend.  They cleaned up after themselves, shook my hand, and left.  They were very nice and polite but the price, I felt, was way too high and I felt like that price disregarded the content of the ad that I purchased.  I will end up calling the other electrician that was lower and have him do the job.  Unfortunately, to find that out, I am now out 40.00 for no real reason.
