great the drs at this practice are simply amazing. you cant go wrong

After our daughter was born, we chose this practice due to it's location and reviews. This was our first child, so this was all new to us. Within the first week after we had our baby, she developed a slight cough. We called JMand A and they immediately sent us to the hospital, without seeing her first. This translated into a 5 day stay at WakeMed where they found nothing wrong with her. A few weeks later our daughter had a small bloody spitup, most likely due to breastfeeding. JMand A wanted to send us directly to the hospital again, without seeing her first. I raised my concerns at another hospital visit, and they agreed to see her. JMand A diagnosed her with a cow's milk protein allergy and acid reflux. My wife had to radically change her diet in order to continue breastfeeding. At the next weight check, they labeled our infant as and quot;failure to thriveand quot; because she wasn't gaining weight fast enough due to the lack of fat in her diet. Eventually they put us on a very expensive formula to help her to gain weight. They also wanted to send her for more testing at Rex and to UNC Children's Hospital to see some feeding specialists. We declined to see the specialists and attempted to add more fat to her diet. After 2 more weight checks (where she was still gaining weight, albeit slowly) where they continued to say that she was a failure to thrive, we decided to get a second opinion. Once we switched pediatricians, they told us she most likely never had the milk protein allergy and that she was just very active, petite and had a high metabolism. She is now in the 40th percentile for head circumference and length, but still in the negative 1% for weight. Our new doctors are not concerned with this as she is happy and developing normally. JMand A cost us thousands in hospital bills, doctor's visits and deprived my wife of breastfeeding beyond three months due to a possible misdiagnosis. At the last visit we had with JMand A, I asked Dr. Jeffers why my niece's doctor was not concerned with her weight even though she weighed the exact same as my daughter, yet was 1 month older. His reply is that they like to be the and quot;grandfatherly of practices.and quot; This translated to my wife and I that they are a CYA practice, so we made the move to a different doctor. They seemed to over-diagnose to cover any continegency, rather then look at how our baby was doing overall. TL/DR: If you want a doctor that will scare the bajeebus out of you, see JMand A.

They have always been great. They have lots of doctors, but are willing to accomodate if you want your child to see a particular doctor each time. They have started to offer Saturday hours which is nice. They are associated with Wake Med and this makes it easier if you need to see specialists.

This group is all about catering to the masses and making the easiest decision versus one that is effecitve. They do not call with test results, they disregard parental concerns and make conclusions on root cause without any data to support the conclusion. My children will be moved immediately and I would not recommend this practice period..

We've seen other doctor's in this practice who where excellent, however, interacting with Dr. Covington was a bit odd, if not frustrating as she seemed to keep asking questions until she had the answer she wanted. Without going into details, I wouldn't recommend Dr. Covington, but I would recommend any other doctor at the practice. I also somewhat felt she just wanted to get through the exam and go home. Expect to have to wait a bit before being called back, but it hasn't been more than 20 mins yet. Nurses are friendly and they are quick to get you an appt if your child is sick. Rooms seem to be much cleaner than most physician offices. Waiting rooms are comfortable. Most importantly, if your child is sick, then the practice as a whole is great. Staff seems to be responsive if you have concerns, which is a huge plus.

We went to this practice because our child had stopped eating. Dr. Christine Lehrich was so knowledgeable and compassionate. She took a lot of time with our daughter and with us privately to discuss treatment options. She knew exactly what to do to initiate the cycle of care needed to start our daughter's recovery. She was so supportive and helpful even after hospitalization. This practice is just awesome! I only wish it was easier to get your preferred physician, but since they are so good, it's understandable why they are so popular.

When we arrived first thing in the morning for an 8:20 appointment we were greeted warmly. We were called back within minutes. After a 5-10 minute wait, the doctor arrived. She answered every question, acknowledged each concern, and responded with appropriate next steps. Dr. Anderson was knowledgeable, attentive, and managed to speak to both my son and to me simultaneously. She is wonderful and I will continue to take my 3 kids to see her for years to come!

We have taken our children to wellness visits and to these doctors when they have been sick. The wait time is sometimes long, but we are overall satisfied.

Experience has been great for the most part. In the waiting area (and there's never a long wait) there's wooden train sets that my daughter likes to play with so that keeps her occupied. Occasionally we've been sent a bill for a co-pay that they should have taken at the office.

He was really good. They have place on their website where you are supposed to file out information online before you get there. It is a porthole, so you can do things in advance if you have very little time. I think you can make appointments and refill prescriptions online through their website. I have been going there for many years and especially with Dr. Overcash, I will be said to leave when my son is too old to see him. I think they want the children to leave when they turn 21. I don't have any complaints about them.
