J & J Hardwood Floors

Description of Work: For hardwood flooring, we did J&J Hardwood. They did the hardwood floor in my living room.

Description of Work: I have had the most horrible experience with this contractor. The professionalism and workmanship is terrible! Its been a month since Jimmy Speight "so called" completed my floors (kitchen and 2 bathrooms) and he has not completed the work he was paid to do. He stated he worked with tile most often. Later, I find out (seeing his info on Angie's List, that tile is NOT is field of expertise.) He and his crew showed up when they wanted to, causing my schedule to be turned upside down. They had a problem working over 4 hrs at a time. Scheduled dates and rimes he was a no show and no call. He refused to answer or return my calls. They left the toilet in one of my bathrooms sitting in the middle of the bathroom floor (no plastic) over night. I did not realize this until after they left my home. He has failed to put down shoe molding in gust bathroom. After trying to contact several times, Jimmy stated he would be by within 2 days to replace the molding that had not been put back down. Once again, he has not bothered to contact me to reschedule or complete the job he was paid to do. He failed to produce adequate receipts. It is my belief that some of the materials were from other jobs. The square footage he was assigned to work is approx. 320 for title, which he laimed to do majority of the time. This I have found has to be a lie because of the poor craftsmanship! In less than 2 weeks I've had tile replaced and more neededing to be replaced. Since Jimmy Speight has failed to return any of my calls, I've contacted two other contractors to inspect and give me estimates to "make the floor right." Needless to say, no one wants to fix someone else's problems. I tried as recent as last Thurs., Apr. 11th, 2013 to reach Jimmy and he has yet to return my call. I have been advise to take legal action against this contractor as he is not standing on his word and committment to "complete" the assigned and paid for job to my satisfaction. Needless to say, I did not have him put down my hardwood floors. I used a "reputible" company.

Description of Work: I first hired Kenny to refinish the oak floors in my living room, foyer, and hall. The work was excellent. About a year later I had him replace some oak boards in a bedroom that had been damaged by termites. Again the work was very good.
